I had before Punto mk2a 1.2 8V and this was quite a change, i have hgt now for more than one year and i am very satisfied.
Its fast, it corners great for a stock car and its good looking too.

I like it!

Re: Punto HGT mk2b 1.8 16V

i like they alloys did u do the roof yourself it looks great did u just buy some vinyl

The alloys are fine, but i will probably change them with oz ultraleggera because of weight and i think it will look better.

The roof is for now only vinyl and i did it by myself :)

I must find some of car interior photos, some music and stuff :)

Re: Punto HGT mk2b 1.8 16V

what size was your standard fiat alloys as they look quite big
i may do my roof like that looks great
how much audio stuff have u got ?
yeah i agree with the lighter alloys, maybe also get lower profile tyres as normal tyres make the alloys look smaller imo

Re: Punto HGT mk2b 1.8 16V

Standard alloys on fiat sporting & hgt is 15'' and mine are too, i just don't like the design but its ok for winter!
Lighter alloys should improve the speed and acceleration too - i hope so =)
Tyres for summer are195/45/16.

The roof u can try first with a sticker and than if u like u can paint it :)

Audio? Too much..
Radio: Blaupunkt Bremen 78
Front system: MbQuart PVH 216 16cm
Sub: DWH 252 10''
Amps: 2x Steq K9 45.2 for front
1x Steg QM 120.2 for sub

And i made custom panels for front system and polyester box, i got now some pics from the other computer:

i thought the vinyl on the roof was a full sunroof like the new astra`s.love it!!the sub box in the back looks savage, did u just buy the carpet and fill it with cotton wool ??looks that way.is the 3rd piicture up from the last one is that a mold for a boost gauge or for smaller speckers?very nice looking car!!

Re: Punto HGT mk2b 1.8 16V

About the sub box, its polyester, i'll post some pics of making it.

@brin: maybe some local audio dealer can make u door panels, i am probably too far that i could make them :)

@Connor1409: i will post some pics but i dont have them all, and some notes, i hope it will help

@traynor1892: u're not the first one that thought that i have a sunroof :p
no, that picture is a panel for a twiter, these mbquart twiters are quite big, i think more than 4cm =)

Re: Punto HGT mk2b 1.8 16V

Quick guide for making panels for 16cm speakers:

First u make wood rims, u can make double rims that the speaker fits in (like mine) - look second pic

Then u have to put some bolts in existing holes and glue them very hard - u can screw everything together from the inside of the doors (i used photo of previous car)
DSC04997.jpg

Then u glue wooden rims to plastic the way u want, u can cut plastic or put something under - its the way u want.
Be careful, check your speaker depth!
Then use poliester kit with fiber to fill empty space betwen wood and wooden rims. If u want that poliester to stick better to plastic panel u have to make small holes and push the polyester kit trouhg the holes.

Than use poliester kit without fiber and make the surface as smoth as posible and spray it if u wont dress it up

in between check if it fits nice in car - close door too! :)

DSC05483.JPG

Then u can spray it or dress it up in whatever u want.
