Punto (Mk2/2b) Mi Grigio mk2

Introduction

2nd Time Lucky ;)

So I thought its about time I posted one of these up! Been a bit of a rollercoaster so far... Needed a new sump and 2 new rear hubs, but she's just about there! This is Fiat #2, the first being a Cinquecento! Here's a few pics:

Thats how she stayed until just last week when I bought some alloys for her for the bargain price of £120 with good tyres! Im happy with that!

Here they are, Just standard mk2 Alloys I'm told, but I like them! 14" Goodness :p

Fitted TODAY :D

Plans that remain are refurb the alloys... Maybe paint the rim blue (See below pic!), but thats just a pipeline idea.. Colour coded bumpers, mirrors and door handles, remove the rubstrip, upgrade the front speakers to some good Pioneer ones, maybe fit a sub... Then look into tinting the rear windows and lowering a touch. I think that'll be all for her :)

Thanks for looking! :slayer:

Chris.
Thanks Burtz :) I have thought about lowering it, but I'd only go 40mm. Its still a daily driver and I still want a nice drive out of it! I did find a lowering kit (springs only) for not alot of money, but that wont be happening till next year.

Yh i saw your thread, if them springs are £60 just for two, would would be better of getting the eibach springs 50/40 drop but apparently only looks like 40mm on a 8v, they are about £120
I started a thread in the punto section regarding lowering springs, might be worth having a read to see what the other said ;) https://www.fiatforum.com/punto/206125-springs-shocks.html

:bang:
Never seen those wheels on a Punto, they're from a Seicento! Looking good though (y)

The guy I bought them off listed them as Punto mk2! I'd never seen them on a punto, though... But I really liked them! :D Well thats one mystery cleared up! haha!

Thats a shame, but I'll give that thread a read and keep it in my favourites till Im ready for lowering! (y)

Thanks everyone else for the comments :D

Oh just for a quick update, I took the front mudflap off today the quick way... Caught it on the kerb as I was reversing on my drive haha! Was scraping on the floor tho, it was way too low! That made me laugh.. And some of the free FC stickers will be going on the back window soon! Just for gigs :slayer:

Cheers!!! :worship:

Ok good news and bad new.. Bad first:

Gungy oil filler cap, no heat from blowers, losing water.. Looks like I have a head gasket to replace. Also, one of the pipes going to the heater matrix stays cold, so we think I have a blockage there. Mega bummer.

Good news:

Gmax -35 springs, HAWK alarm and 5000k HIDs all ready to fit when the time is right!

So for anyone who's interested, My car is almost better! Went in to mechanics, headgaskets been done, water pump & cam belt kit, heads been skimmed and probably more, knowing our man!! ..Just not lookin forward to the bill! Either way, it'll be home again soon, and after whats already been done, I think I'm gonna change the spark plugs and get the brakes done.. Its already had half a service!!!

Anyway, here's a pic of my goodies- minus the alarm!
