Punto (Mk2/2b) Out with the old, in with the new (my punto mk2a progress thread).

Introduction

unfortunatly on fri 13th of all days i crashed my car :(
in the wet.
i wasnt speeding but the back end slid out as i was leavin a corner(bend in the road).
tryed controling it but it started snakin.managed to avoid all the oncoming traffick.but hit a parked car with the side of mine wich caterpulted me into the curb witch ripped the tire off the rim and that spun me into a 360 spin wich i managed to controle as the back end was lifting up i stopped it from roling onto the roof.im well gutted
i realy am devistated as id just got it to look how i wanted it.
but it could have been a lot worse. i could have hit the oncoming cars or roled it but i manged to avoid both with quick thinking.
i was unhurt. just realy shook up. (n)
Re: Out with the old, in with the new (my punto mk2a progress thread)

got the backs done yesterday. mechanic had problems took him 4hours just to put the backs on as everything was seized on. hes had to use new shock bolts and re thread a few things. but front are getting done tomorrow hopefully. but at the moment its sitting like a drag car in reverse. il get a pic of it in morning as a funny pic lol. but its sitting exactly how i want it to at the moment on the back and it will most probs drop a lil more once the shocks settle to the springs. but any more drop is an added bonus. very happy with the result so far (y)

Cars looking nice mate, keep up the good work. Don't suppose you know if there's anywhere that sells Adjustable Lowering Springs do you mate?

Thanks.

this is where im thinking of having the exhaust. quick photoshop edit. i do need to change the exhaust tho as the centre silencer is vibrating on the chassy since i too a blind speed bump too quick. and now its been lowerd the exhaust pipe is knocking on the rear axle when i go over pot holes. so thort it way look better here

it will probly hang lower than that but this is just a quick try lol..... opinions?????

i reckon it looks a bit stupid in the middle, but if you could keep it a the same place as before but just compe up with a way to put it a bit higher would look good

Re: Out with the old, in with the new (my punto mk2a progress thread)

and yeah iv been thinking in the middle may be a bit odd. was thinking if i can keep it where it is but still need to sort out the pipe so i get no vibration noise

Re: Out with the old, in with the new (my punto mk2a progress thread)

ok so............... i had some bad luck last weekend. some little dicked kicked and bottled my car all pissed up thinking he was hard and tried braking into my house. got a big dint on the bonnet and an even bigger one above the drivers side front wheel arch. looks ugly as anything. happend the night iv finished putting some ice blue fog lights on my bumper (they look good tho and was un damaged) but its money i didnt want to spend realy on sorting the dints.not happy....

also my laptop is completely dead so iv limited access to o here on my ps3 (can view comments but cant post anything).im just round at my mates at mo using his laptop but will be off in a min.

so not had much luck at all last week....

Re: Out with the old, in with the new (my punto mk2a progress thread)

as for the exhaust making knocking noise at the center box, well the exhaust fell off last week (where the backbox and rear section pipe joins onto center section pipe) iv now put it back on and now the exhaust isnt knocking :D as the backbox is sitting in the right place. only thing now is the exhaust is hanging much much lower and hits every single speedbump with a ''pinnggg'' lol. so i shal be sorting that out soon. i still need to upload pics yet of the fogs iv put on. let myself down a bit on updates but will get back into the swing off things now. oh and as for the 2 big dints made couple of weeks ago by them pissed up chavy nob heads well i got a price quote for them to be fixxed and the 3 pellet dents on the boot and got quoted £500  which i dont understand as they said they would have to spray a big area around the dents but the paint hasnt even stretched. so thinking i might just get one of them dent removers and pull the 2 big dents out. will look better than it does now anyway lol.
