Been reading here for a while now, don't post too much, if anyone goes on the Abarthisti forums they've probably seen these pics but I thought I'd throw them up there.

It's a standard Abarth 500 in Bossa-nova white with red side stripes and mirrors, full leather interior, climate control and petal wheels.

He's been Christened 'Arty' by my girlfriend

Looking at the two cars put together on a same picture I could swear that I find the normal 500 a hundred time more attractive than an Abarth (it is not personal Havaska, but as I said in my introduction I am more a Captain Slow kind of driver than a Clarkson)

Writing the same remark on a french forum got someone to let me know how "jealous" I probably was (big chip on shoulder someone) as if the Abarth was God's favourite 500.
That is why I felt I had to swear that it was possible not to prefer a faster car, yes people you read it properly. :p

Personally I think the 500 is better looking when more round and without spoilers and "chromey" more than "carbon fibre-y".
Having said that the Abarth is in no way a bad-looking car, just less to my taste.

I'm not offended, everyone has their own taste. Personally, I think all 500s look fantastic! There is a lot less chrome on the Abarth 500 though, hardly any at all in fact, which is something I actually prefer, I think it makes it look a bit sportier.

I'm all for the chrome..I mean how could I possibly check my do in the bodywork when driving a Abarth?! (y)

Besides I don't trust myself in an Abarth, after turning into a total Kev/Barry Boy when I drove it. Felt more like Brian Harvey (without the running myself over) than my usual Phil Collins 'easy lover' driving persona.

she'll get a hold on you believe it!

i drive a 1.4 16v, and i test drove an abarth 500 last weekend,
i was so not impressed..

no room in the back!?!
gearknob is positioned in a disgusting position,
performance wasnt as great as i was expecting..

GRANDES ftw.

Gimp

How much room do expect in a car the size of the 500? I think its great on room in the back.

I think the gearknob is in a great position, great for making quick changes...disgusting though?? wtf lol

Performance is fantastic for a car of its size. I had a GPA Esseesse all last week and the 135hp A500 is far more fun, obviously not as quick, but definitely more 'chuckable'.

And this has what to do with my car in particular? If you want to go and diss the 500 do it in that area of the forum and not under the 'members cars' section.

Was it the Abarth Ferrari 500 or the standard 500?

They had two limited runs of them, some where 1.4 Sports and the second bunch are Abarth SS versions. Used as courtesy cars by Ferrari dealerships, but you can buy them for the low low price of around £30k

Had a little photoshoot of my 500 along with my girlfriend's and my mate LeeBee's. Tried my best to take some good pictures!
