It has been a while since i posted here. Bravo has been replaced with Stilo 1.6 16V.
Barchetta is still with me, currently in a garage because of the winter, so i have got a Fiat Uno 1.1 until the spring.

Thanks, yes i did the polishing myself. I used menzerna products for polishing and for protection. So i used Menzerna powerlock for protection, veary easy to use, and long protection (y)

Menzerna and Autobrite are my favorite manufacturers (y)
My father has a paintshop, i help as much i can (i am a student). And i also started detailing about a year ago. :D

hey neighbor, nice barch! we should make some barchetta meeting in summer. :)

Hi to you too :D It would be great to have a meeting :D
I pulled one in slovenia, it was in 2009, after that it was never enough interest anymore (most of them do not have barchetta anymore).

As my lights on barchetta were preaty bad, i decidet to restore them.
It was a pain in the ass to get the lights out, had to use a grinder (do not know if that is the right word) :D as the screws were unable to unscrew.

Then i painted the inside of the lights

and i got the lights restored

Don`t have the finishing pictures yet, will taket them as soon as posible, but the lights are now nice and black al they were when they where new (y):D

Looking good! Nice shine there :) What have you got your number plate fixed on with.. mine looks like some kind of velcro fastening, but it's springing off on one side.

Hiya,

Nice job with the lights(y)

How did you open and reseal them, Are they not sealed together.

Id like to also paint mine but wasnt sure how to prise them apart.

Looks like you need to cut the seal, Do you use the same glue rubber as fitting windscreens.
Thanks Kiry

Thanks, numberplate is fixed with the glue that is used for glasses.

It is very, very dificult job to do, i used oven to heat the lights, (oven on 80-100°C) get the lights in for 1-2 minutes, and then pull them apart and cuting the glue, and then again in the oven, and cuting again,... i used about two hours to take them apart.
I put it back again with the same glue that is used for fitting car glasses.

Hope you understand what i wrote, if not, ask :D(y)

Ok! I gathered that you need to cut the seal, I guess the oven helps to loosen the seal, but does it not damage/ warp the lights in any way.

Have you tried them with water and have they sealed properly again.

Thanks Kiry

Yes, that is right, the lights are not damaged, but you must not put them in the oven for too long.
O

Yes, they have been tested (and are also on the car for 1-2months, in snow and rain, and they are sealed properly).
