Grande Punto My New Toy

Introduction

Well i loved my little 500 but it was just too small, and after driving it across France fully laden, not that comfy or fast. Struggled with the 130 Kph roads.

So i decided to find something bigger that I could still have a bit of fun in. Being 21 with 3 points and a claim rules me out of Hot hatches unfortunately so the GPA SS was well out of insurance range. Then I came accross the T-Jet, and more importantly an ex-demo at my local dealer. So after a 30sec test drive it was sold, i even stopped at the cash point on the test drive lol.

Optional extras:
Two Tone Wheels
Parking Sensors
Subwoofer

My Modifications:
LCR Splitter (no pics yet)

Hopeful Future Mods:
Slight tinted rear windows
Private reg (its my 21st on Thursday so getting money towards it, know its not really a mod though)
Abarth rear lights
H.I.D.s (not sure on these yet but like the look of 8000k's)
Badgeless top grill (not too sure on this either)

So enough of my waffling on, heres my new baby after the test drive.

and here she is on my first day of ownership.
Looks very nice. A bit of a "Street Sleeper" as we used to call them. I think the lines of the GP are so right that they really don't need much adornment. i also think the GP is just about the only Supermini that looks as good in solid colours as it does in metallic.

I love it mate, how much did you end up paying?

£10,600 but according to fiat website, the same spec should of been £13,950 and since it had done less than 1000 miles and was only 3 months old seemed like a good price, tried to bargain with him (you've just got to even when the price is good lol) but it didn't really work. That is the equivalent of it losing £1,100 every month or approx every 300 miles, I just hope it doesn't depreciate that much for me!!

As for street sleeper I do like cars like that, but I don't think this is really, but people do look at me being young in a red car with side skirts and 17" wheels and think i'm in a little 1.0 (Only missing the dance music and burberry hat(y)). Which I'm beginning to quite like actually, I see many a surprised face on a nice Sunday drive out.

Even the girlfriend likes it, I let her drive it and she didn't want to get out lol, I just wish I found this sooner could of saved me the £1000 I lost on my 500.
