My cars, integrale & Cinq. Turbo!

Introduction

I've managed to find a couple of pics of my cars. The integrale was pictured at the London 2 Brighton run in London then in Brighton after driving up from Bournemouth in light rain, but still looks deceptivly clean. :)

Exscuse the v.poor pics of the Cinq as they were taken in my gargae in v.poor lighting, I will get better ones up soon. (y)

Hi Evo what width are those rims?
Are they 5.5j or 6j?
Thanks
Adrian

Way bigger, they are 17" by 8J running 225/35 17 rubber which just fitted & no more the tyre fitter didn't enjoy it to much, I could run a bigger tyre like a 245/35 17 but that would be to far away from the original 205/55 15 that are standard's rolling radius, like to keep my speedo correct ;)

Wooops, just relised you may have been talking about the Cinq, they are 5 1/2J running 195/45 14 :)

Cheers
Sorry about the questions but the wheels on the cinq look sweet.
What spacers did you use?How much and where from?
Also did you use longer wheel studs/bolts?
Cheers

Hi I used spacers from here http://www.performancedriven.co.uk/shop.product.asp?catID=121
but they are very expensive & you do not need longer bolts as they are the type B spacers. For these wheels you need 30mm spacers but if you see previous posts I've made on this subject I believe that there are the same wheels with a 40 off-set which means you only need 10mm spacers so a lot cheaper. I only justified it to myself as I got the wheels for £50 as I knew I wanted to refurbish them in white, so I calculated that they were not much more than a quality set of wheels anyway, once I added the refurbishment & spacers together, plus I'm not aware of anyone else doing it, so for the time being they're one offs :D

I have to say I love the Integrale.. Its always been one of my all time favourite cars and yours is stunning mate.. I owned a yellow HF Turbo years ago when they first came out and I loved it. Until some git in a brand new Red integrale was in front of me.. beautifull ..

Oh and also...

Can you believe it Im looking at buying a Cinq as a run about as my wife has taken to using the Multipla regularly for errands, shopping etc while Im in work. This means I have to either get the Grale out of the lockup, bike in or get a lift. So...

Logically me thinks, if I get a Cinq I can insure it cheaply and save the grale from the salt and crappy winter weather.

Any pointers welcomed. Looking to spend about £700 ( or less )

Hi Aaron

Nice pics of the grale. Just a quick question, are those black scorpion wheel centre badges I see?

I'll probably see you at the 2005 L 2 B.

Greg

Hi Greg,

They are indeed black scorpion wheel badges that you see, which were commented on at L2B! (bought from your good self you may recall as I asked about sizes in the summer, they are a perfect fit for the AZEV's). There is a close up pic in my gallery of one wheel as someone else asked me about them.

Its funny you're considering a Cinq as I originally meant to just buy one as a run-about to preserve the grale over winter etc but happened upon the turbo one which is an absolute hoot to drive, & I've managed to spend nearly a grand on it in only 3 months of ownership as I've become addicted to it, I've even had Keith at Auto Integrale tell me he wants first refusal if I sell, & someone off the EVOFORUM has enquired about it to see if I would sell.

I think for £700 there are some real bargains out there as Cinq's seem to be very cheap at the mo, undervalued if you ask me, but then that makes it a buyers market which is good for you, although one consideration which goes for any car that is cheap, is the owners sometimes don't service them as well as more expensive cars judging it to be wasted money if you know what I mean. I know that recently there have been some low mileage (30-40K FSH) Cinqs on M/P plates going for that sort of amount. On here is a good starting point in classifieds, & I've found the guys on here are all very helpful & don't mind getting asked questions that have probably been asked a thousand times before if you have any queries. I got mine from eBay which I suppose could be a risk, but you get as much protection consumer wise as you do with any other private sale, its just you may not get the chance to drive beforehand. Theres plenty out there so you'll have a good choice.

Aaron.

Hi, only just saw this as I've been away for 2 weeks. The integrale wheels were done by this place which will collect & return at your cost but I would only recommend it if you have expensive or magnesium wheels that need repaired like I had to have done with the AZEV's where 2 of them where badly buckled & all of them had very bad chips out of the rim. They did a perfect job but was expensive at £70 a wheel, but considering they are some £200 each new then a bargain! http://www.alloywheelrepairs.com/

The Cinq wheels I got done local in Bournemouth (Trimworx.co.uk 01425 657 050 or 07786 441053) where the guy can paint the wheels any colour you like from hundreds of samples he has, I think mine were done Ford Diamond White as its about the whitest white if you know what I mean, and he can also do diamond cut finish which can look amazing on certain wheels.

Hehe - sorry to burst the bubble - but I have those wheels and those spacers sitting in the shed waiting for me to get round to putting them on my VAd Hi Boost Turbo - :D:D - I think mine are 13"s though iirc - off an Uno Abarth or somthing - picked them up cheap aswell and spent all the cash on the spacers too! (well Dad did - because he wanted "proper" ones)
Great Minds!
Regards,
Matt

PS: Mine are silver though with yellow abarth centre caps :D
Also do you have any rolling road graphs for the Cinq??
