My cars, integrale & Cinq. Turbo!

Introduction

I've managed to find a couple of pics of my cars. The integrale was pictured at the London 2 Brighton run in London then in Brighton after driving up from Bournemouth in light rain, but still looks deceptivly clean. :)

Exscuse the v.poor pics of the Cinq as they were taken in my gargae in v.poor lighting, I will get better ones up soon. (y)

They are 14" and have 195/45 rubber on them, they are made by Cromodora & were fitted to the Fiat Strada Abarth 130TC MK3. I got them refurbished in white and replaced the Abarth centres with new ones. I have to use 30mm spacers to make them fit which were expensive, but as the Strada was the last Fiat to come off the Abarth production line I thought it fitting to use them as I would like to think a Turbo Cinq is a modern day interpretation of what Abarth himself may have done. See ans above to the other parts I took off tis car & gave new life to in the Cinq.

Just to mention. I´ve also got the Abarth steering wheel, and Cromodora Abarth alloys from the Ritmo 130TC placed on my Uno MkII. 20 mm spacers all around (by Momo) was fitted due to the huge front brakes on the Ritmo. My Uno was dropped 40 mm. Bigger alloys on an un-lowered uno makes it look like a rollerskate. :)

The Integrale is awesome by the way. It´s the 16v?

And how in the name of the holy ghost etc. did you get the recaros to fit in the car??? My brother´s got 3 Ritmo Abarth 130TCs (yes, three - 2 that works, one for parts - soon 2 for parts one that works, and in the end 3 for parts, none that works...) And I would really like those bucketseats to fit in the Uno - for fun.

i now want a 'grale. Ive only seen them in white before and didnt quite understand Miss Fone's obsession with them - that black one is stunning.

whats the insurance and mpg like???
i LOVE the yellow ones, probably half the reason i got yellow cinqs before this one :p although that black one looks ace (y)

insurance i think the top notch 16v jobbies are group 20 (rings a bell for some reason i think?) could be mistaken though

It will only do about 20/22mpg round town but on motorway at a steady 70/80 you can get 28mpg, but if you fit an after market chip like the one from Evo Engineering you get a boost of power to 260bhp 280lbs/ft torque on standard exhaust (280 300 with better exhaust) from the 210 220 you get normally & get better fuel economy in the bargain!!

The seat where in the end quite easy to fit. I removed the brackets that go from the runners to the floor & then replaced them with these http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/catal...6&GRP=MC019&PGRP=MP015&CLS=MSPORT&from=search
which bolt up to the seats runners perfectly, & it was then just a matter of drilling a few holes in the base plate to match up to the floor & they went on fairly easily, took me a few hours all in to do. You then get fully reclineing, Recaro's that still let you access the back seat and support you like nothing else. It must be noted that mine did come from what is known as a mark 3 Ritmo/Strada which I think has slightly diff seats from the earlier models, they also have the fabric that was designed by some Italian designer (can't remember the name) which has the old style 4 line Fiat badge weaved into it. My driver seat is a bit of a state to be fair, but I do have the fabric from the rear seat to get it recovered but I'm still on the look out for more fabric as I would like to recover the back seat to match as the fabric is no longer available.

If you would like me to take any photos of them in place, let me know see what I can do.

Heres a pic of the steering wheel in place.

Edit: forgot to say as the number plate sujests, its an EVO 1 in optional Maetalescent black, no sunroof, no air-con, which was the last of the homologation models one of 2500 built T3 turbo with a water spray system that sprays the inter-cooler with cold water when the boost reaches 0.8BAR. EVO 2's have the smaller T2.5 turbo no water spray & generally come in limited edition colours like Giallo Yellow, Lord Blue, Madras Blue, White Perlato (awsome finish) Candy Red with air-con as well as standard as they were not homologation models, i.e. not run in rallying.
Insurance group 18, but you can get limited millage classic car insurance for them now with agreed value.

Steering wheel is same diameter as standard wheel which is fairly big compared to after market wheels, but also makes it nice to drive, specially round town, and no obscuring of the dials :)

My mate works for Bosche (Blaupunkt same company), so I got a very good deal on the headunit & speakers, I can't say how much cos it would make you all sick to know how much of a mark up there is on electrical goods.

The steering wheel is actually incredibly good in both city and road driving. Rest the thumbs on the right/left spokes, and you never have to release them (except for gearing...). Good grip as well. And the hub fits momo steering wheels, so there is no need for a new hub if you want to upgrade to a smaller wheel.

The seats I´m referring to have a hole near the ***** :) area for 4-point belts. But the car (from 1996) is built up from different cars...

Funny description but very true, sounds like the same seats as they do have the hole for harness to go through!

In case anyone missed it, they are from a Fiat Strada/Ritmo Abarth 130TC, made by Cromodora in Italy, no longer available & you need 30mm spacers to get the correct off-set! They came in a diamond cut finish but all will have the lacquer lifted by now, so I got them refurbished in white. :D

so some serious tracking down is in order then!! lol :D ...............unless i pinch yours! MWHAHAHHAAA! but i'd guess ur Evo is more than a match for my cinq :( And your cinq would prob be more than a match for it too even with now wheels! LMAO! scratch that idea!

Do u know where i might be able to find some???

Best bet is probably eBay, search under "Strada" "ritmo" "Abrarth" "130tc" as there was only about 600 Abarth's brought into the UK of which most have been eaten by the rust bug. There was a whole car minus the Reacaro's & engine went for something like £75 a few weeks back which had the wheels on! I tried to get the guy to remove the rear seat covers as its the same as the Recaros I've got so i could recover the back seat in mine, but he wasn't up for it even tho i offered £50!

Should have bought the whole car now, could have sold the wheels, the steering wheel that Surfin Feela was after & I'm sure there would have been other stuf worth keeping/selling on :(

Just remembered the 125TC (& maybe 105TC) also had these wheels but with an off set of 40 so only 10mm spacers needed. I you find any ask, because there is a big diff in price from 30mm to 10mm spacers. :D
