Re: 1PuntoCarl2's Progress thread!

its not tar as such, its more like hardened bird **** lmao...

it won't come off with the 2 bucket method, would i need some AG gunk remover or something like that?

you need something a little more powerful than 2BM matey...AG tar remover should work but tbh i would go straight for the surfex HD....

Re: 1PuntoCarl2's Progress thread!

insurance renewal

my insurance is due for renewal on 28th of july, its going to cost me 845 in 1 payment or 976 in monthly payments...

i was planning on getting my boot smoothed, bump strips took off and the the whole car colour coded, but now thats going to have be on hold a bit longer.

i'm going to try and pay my insurance off in 1 payment, when i save up enough that is, lol. so its going to be longer than a month before i get my colour smoothed and colour coded :(.

Carl.

buy the Kestral DAS-6 or Meg's G220, but make sure to use it properly, moving onto a rotary soon....hehehe  mainly due to the amount of vibration you get with a DA, i would try them out before buying due to the varying degrees of feel, weight, button location etc. etc. and ofc speed of workrate rotary being quicker but higher risk because it works on on point not like DA safer slower but works not on the same point all the time.

Re: 1PuntoCarl2's Progress thread!

UPDATE:

well, i was looking in classifieds and saw some gorgeous alloys for sale. they're called team dynamic driftz. they're 15", black with a silver lip.

i was told i needed wobly bolts but they managed to fit without them :).

then when i went home i found some tinting spray. i dont really like the plain red rear lights that come with a 5 door so i decided to spray them with black tinting spray. they're not exactly black, they're a really dark red colour. i think they look really nice and subtle.

i'll get more pics of the car tomorow when i give it a good clean :D..

next thing i really want to do is get the body work sorted and completely smooth. i was actually going to pay for it this week but these alloys were going to go to someone else but i just couldn't let that happen. so i bought these instead :p.

Re: 1PuntoCarl2's Progress thread!

Look great. Going for the euro look with the smooth and alloys?

yea i am, well atleast try anyways lol. i'm not too sure on tinted windows though, think it would suit the car?

this is what i have left to do:

dents pulled out and scratches sprayed over/colour coded bumpers/wiper removal and welded over/bootlock welded over/debadged/de-side stripped/colour coded handles and wing mirrors.
speedo with rev counter
alarm with remote central locking
lowered
electric windows
maybe spoiler?
maybe backbox or sports system?
maybe a full leather interior including door cards?
maybe tinted windows?

Yes because they are only 2mm out. They will screw in but won't be safe to drive on:eek:

However they doo look nice and the lights look mint IMHO

how come they wont be safe to drive on? as long as the bolts are tight and aren't coming loose then everything should be fine?

yea i do think the lights are good. really suit the car with the alloys aswel :D

Re: '1PuntoCarl's updated 5 door progress thread.'

was looking around my car today and i noticed some overspray onto my paintwork around my rear lights...

theres small black laquer on my paintwork and i'm just wondering how to remove it, i've heard of wd-40, white spirits, paint thinner?

would any of these affect my painwork? or would they be ok to use?

thanks in advance, Carl.
