On a serious note though. Remove the items from the parcel shelf. In the event of a collision they WILL cause SERIOUS and probably even FATAL INJURYS. Sorry to be so negative

I have a nodding dog on the rear parcel shelf of my Triumph Herald, and I've tied a "lead" on him, just in case of the event of an accident.

I do have the model cars screwed onto the green decking and the decking attached to the parcel shelf with fishing line. I hope and believe they will hold also in a collision. For now they are staying put

Now my parcelshelf has been decorated for Christmas/winter by my GF

It looks better with the backdoor closed, but not as easy to photograph

Some more details will be added, but the concept is ready.
