Whats it like compared to the panda's? :p

Errrr. Is there a comparison? :ROFLMAO:

It's much bigger, and 'bulky' in compairson to the Panda's. Can't really compare them, as it's like trying to compare a sausage dog to a great dane.

Stilo's got lots more eletric bits aswell that I like (still love the remote leci windows :D) and find the trip computer handy (even a mileage trip is a luxury to the Panda's which never came with one on any model!)

Still going to be sticking with the Panda's though, as I still love them, and am planning on getting one of the fleet insured as a classic car for use as a 'weekend car'. :)

Right, back to Stilo. Mod's. No great mods. But brought a Fusion Sub system on Bank holiday Monday and have installed, but my currect Sony HU in the Stilo hasn't any RCA (think thats what they're called) sockets for the leads to the amp. So waiting for my new HU that I've ordered to turn up (tomorrow hopfully). Will then wack that in and should be tuneage all the way :slayer:

Will add some pics of it all when the compleate install with the HU is compleate (y)

Also eventually planning on some alloys. Either 'claw' (are they only 17's?) or the 'blade' alloys that Fiat done. But that won't be until mid to late summer at the earliest.

Jon. :)

white blades on that will= WIN(y)

White. Never thought of that. Could be an idea. Anyone able to photo shop pic 3? One with standard claws and another with white ones please  :)

Nice stilo m8. Seen the same colour 5 door stilo by me and it has blades which looked good

Ta (y)

nice :)

i would imagine the panda being more fun to drive but the stilo being more practical.

Summed it up in one. I miss the Panda. Just happy to find that my current insurer will cover me 3rd party on any other car not owned by me, so will be able to have a run in dad's Panda once in a while :)

nice stilo!if you want an idea of what it would look like with white blades my sons got em on his three door, and its nearly the same colour as yours.go to my page, and he is on as one of my friends(?!!)called spooky mac.link to his page and hes got plenty of pics.(y)

Fitted some 'Invisable' parking sensors a few weeks ago now. Thought I'd add it in here to see what people think.

I firstly had to remove the strip I was going to mount the kit behind from the rear bumper.

Then gave the bumper and strip a wipe down to get rid of the dirt etc so the kit could stick properly.
Photo0831.jpg

Then removed rear nearside light unit to enable me to run wiring from inside the car, also enables the light unit to hide the wiring when put back into place.

And once stuck to the removed bumper strip.

Rather like that HU mate. Hows the sub?

How the feck does that parking sensor work?

P.S You need to borrow some clippers?

Yea subs going ok. I still get this :D feeling every time a good song comes on.

MGMT and Prodigy (sp?) seem to be fairly regular through the HU at the mo :)

Not sure the science with the parking sensors, something to do with magnetic fields. Seems to work well, but I had my doubts when fitting it but was recomended by Andy Monty who's got same on his GP (y)

Oh yes, was having a long thumb nail day that day  Cut now, but a buggar to text with in touch screen phone I find with no nails

looking good (y)

Thanks Josh :)

Interesting. But is it as fun as a Panda to drive?

It's not as fun as the Panda when being thrown about, but it does feel more me now.

I still like the Panda's though, and will always be known as 'Panda' at college, so all is well. Get to drive dad's Panda when I want so I think thats whats stopping me from going compleatly insane :p

Well after a few weeks of research into it I finally decided to have the Stilo convirted to LPG.

I got the car returned yesterday (Saturday) and have taken some pic's before work today and have managed to finally get them uploaded (y)

I hope this serves as a great source of info for other members as I've not managed to find much else on the forum related to LPG convirted Fiats.

The LPG filling point.

The LPG tank, fitted in the spare wheel well. The tank is a 47L capacity tank, which can legally be filled to 37.6L (80% of the tanks total capacity).

The engine bay after conversion. Not alot of change, just the LPG system ECU on the battery housing, and the LPG filter on the coolant pipe.

The LPG filter which has to be fitted to the cooling system to stop freezing, which compressed liquid turning to a gas is well known for doing (the basic principals of an aircon system)

The Sequential LPG injector rail

Control Unit and LPG Level Gauge. Bottom 4 LED's indicate the LPG level in the tank, and the top LED indicates what the car is running on (Petrol or LPG) by lighting in different colours depending upon the fuel being used.

I was going to ask is the gas filter safe strapped the burning hot water hose. I guess not hot enough to be dangerous.

I wonder how lpg gets on in cold countries might be more prone to freezing, or you might need somekind of heating kit.

Can I ask the benefits of liquid pertrolium gas, is it so you get more in a tank so less times to re-fuel?
Is it cheaper? I don't get it!

It's alot cheaper. I'm currently paying 51.9 Pence per Litre of LPG rather than 102.9 for unleaded ;) (y)

Also makes my road tax cheaper aswell as the car congestion zone exempt.
