Nice and tidy motor that mate and its good to see another 5DR owner giving them a make over

a cheap simple mod, get some clear indicaters and repeaters will tidy the car up alot, do i spot mark 2b dynamic wheels

Agree with colour coding.

And the comment above about the side repeaters.

Get the clear ones, very cheap and effective mod.

Then colour code handles, wing mirrors and bumpers, and will be a huge improvement.

I believe the wheels were fitted to the mk2a originally (being that my girlfriend's mk2a has them). Actually, the main reason for getting the 14" x 6" alloys was not for looks, but to get me some better tyre options. 185/55 R14 is a good size in terms of tyre choice - I can even have Yokohama Advan A048s if I wanted to. I have Yoko s.drive tyres on at the moment, which keep me out of trouble.

Weirdly, I like the orange coloured indicators and repeaters. My brother had the facelifted version, and I just felt that it was missing some colour somehow.

It is actually my intention to leave the car looking pretty much as it is, albeit replacing the driver's side door to get rid of the Corolla-induced shallow dent. Where I do want to spend the money is on a coilover kit, disc conversion, uprated discs and pads all round, GSR induction and maybe a remap with Supersprint front-to-back exhaust kit. I want it to have tidy performance, yet remain pretty inconspicuous, particularly to would-be thieves.

There is much more I would like to do, but definitely out of the scope of a Ph.D stipend payment.

tottaly agree with you! have the same car 5dr too, i think little is more in this case, espescaily as i cba to source some desent bumpers and fit them and pay for them just to make it look a lil more average.

im quite liking the wheels u have, what exactly are they? would they be a cheep alternative to some flashy branded ones?
