Introduction

Well thought i would start this thread with the car i had...

Fiat Stilo 1.2, Red, £2300 and i bought it from Bob in disguise - absolutely loved this car, it was stunning and the best Fiat i have ever owned, cheers BOB!

i was nearly in tears when this happened :(

ANYWAY now i am back in business and i have decided to finish off my plans for the Stilo, i have been dreaming about it for so long so might as well see it through. I had given myself a choice of three colours BLACK, RED, or SILVER. In the end i ended up with silver, looking at the car above though i do hope i have made the right decision. I have also noticed a few people on here with silver stilo's... coyle and JFL for example, love the cars guys (y). (hope you don't think i am treading on your toes in terms of the look i am going for, as i wouldn't want to upset anyone :eek:) I have just had a vision of what i wanted 3years ago and intend to stick to it :). It wont be the same but a kind of mixture of two. The picture below will give a rough idea. (y)

Still a 1.2 but hope to upgrade the engine next year depending on cost and other issues whatever they may be..

this is a rough idea of the style i want as well in the end, trying to keep it fairly simple, possibly a schumacher front bumper, boot spoiler and a bumper added aswell, cant think of the name of the bumper but you will see soon.

Yeah sorry took the picture from the stilo for sale on here lol but it was the one with the best quality and angle to put some of the stuff i wanted on :p

It is pretty much how i want it now. Having to focus the money on baby stuff from now on, well until i get a bit more till from work to finish like the PS

Yeah i want a spoiler but the only one i like is a bit bigger and wont look as factory as i would like

Yeah they do look good. Keskin KT1 was what i wanted but were a bit wide and i was worried about sticking out more than the KT5. The guy also sold the wheels on the stilo i took the idea from so didnt feel i was really copying as much lol

The front and rear ones need to go but i kinda like the sides. Breaks the car up a little


The car was like a snow plough this morning when on the main road. On my road when there was 10inches i had to brush a path down my whole street as it was just getting stuck when the snow built up against the from bumper haha comical one neigbour thought i was from the council. (y) got a brew out of her mind (y)
 
is your car the same colour as mine?
if so... ive got the colour coded bumpstrips...
from the front bumper i think, and next month i'll have the side ones aswell.
cost me £150 to colour code them..

Think his is the same colour as mine - Grigio Steel. Yours is Techno Grey if memory serves, though I suppose it's not far off so could create an interesting 2-tone effect :p

Grigio is colour of the car. If it is the same colour as yours i would happily take them off your hands at a reasonable price ;) lol but as said i kind of like the sides being black??? :p
Bet you are glad you changed your wheels with all this grit and snow crap knocking around eh Coyle lol (y) next year might get me some cheap tings just for this time of year. I will be able to store them now i have a garage :D

Sorry dude i didnt reply to your question about the skirts the other day, quick blast while in work so answered as many as poss thought yours was one. I think they are FIAT genuine skirts. I purchased them off ebay for £100 spray+fit was £200 looook goood on same as my old red stilo :(
 
They look like Fiat ones to me as well. Though they look like ones fitted to some later models like the Schumacher. I've seen them on JTDs and the like too, the ones you have are a bit more contoured and they reach the back arches where the other Fiat ones seem to miss it by a small margin.

The side strips look fine as they are in my opinion. I'm tempted to colour code myself at some point, but saying that I've got a fair bit of body work to get done to spruce up RGZ :eek:
 
i have to admit, it looks really nice, even though im not a great fan of stilos :)

Im agreeing with you though about keeping the bump strips. They break the side up a bit, without them it would look tall and awkward. :D

But I was really surprised to see the model difference between the Stile here in India and this one. gr8

haha nice one esse, i have decided now to keep the Stilo and save the GT for another year or so. I am having to much fun with it and would hate to get rid (y)

firstly welcome to the forum
the red stilo was a lovely car and really miss it but had to move on obviously (n)(n)
thankyou for the comments, i am trying to keep it looking as standard as possible but with a few changes but not ruin the look of the car to much :cool:
so what are the indian stilos like then?
 
OK before i bought my alloys i was searching and searching for some RH ZW1 2piece rims with a 4x100 PCD. They are that rare it would have took me ages to find a set for sale and as my old alloys had some problems and kept deflating i didnt have time to wait around. So went for the second best option my KESKINS (y)

Playing around on google yesterday i only bloody found a set, they were referbs but looked the dogs! I was half thinking of selling mine to pay for them as they were only £749 (without tyres) then noticed the bid ended on the 21st April :bang::bang::bang::bang::bang: GUTTED!

Do you think it would have been a good move in buying them or if they come up again should i go for it?

Ok so time has come to sell my car…

Its not really big enough to handle a family being a 3door car as I found out getting my daughter in and out of the back. My work has also offered me an alternative which I will be taking in December. Company car or car allowance? I am yet to be decided but I think i will be going the allowance route, more options and freedom.  I don’t care about the cost advantages of a company car I just want a nice looking car!

So anyway my front passenger seat was wedged all the way forward and wouldn’t go back no matter what I did. If you went to Brooklands in May 2010 you would have probably seen me shaking the thing back and forth to no avail. Anyway a couple of weeks ago I decided to rip the whole seat out with x3me and replace with matching item. For 3 weeks looking I just couldn’t find a matching seat at any breakers for a 53plate 1.2 Active?? SO…. I bought full leather interior instead! :D

Makes me want to keep it now but really has to go and soon. :(

Now I am lost to how much to put it up for sale for? I don’t think I will be putting it on here though just auto trader, not to sure yet.

I won’t be selling it with the Keskin alloys due to rubbing on the back nearside tyre wall but will be with a set of 17” Fiat Blades.
 
Yea sorry about the crash, looks bad.

The silver car is nice. Have a look at my baby and tell me what you think. Got Black alloy's on it "17. Need to lower it but have not managed to get down to it yet. I've put on Bumper addons and clour coded it with the car. I need a good exgaust to go with the back bumber addon that I have put on a couple of moths ago.
