Stilo Back in business - Stilo

Introduction

Well thought i would start this thread with the car i had...

Fiat Stilo 1.2, Red, £2300 and i bought it from Bob in disguise - absolutely loved this car, it was stunning and the best Fiat i have ever owned, cheers BOB!

Reminder of what it looked like.

ignore the fire just like the angle of the car and couldn't be bothered photoshopping it out

The unfortunately this happened when my sister was looking after it while i was off the road...

i was nearly in tears when this happened :(

ANYWAY now i am back in business and i have decided to finish off my plans for the Stilo, i have been dreaming about it for so long so might as well see it through. I had given myself a choice of three colours BLACK, RED, or SILVER. In the end i ended up with silver, looking at the car above though i do hope i have made the right decision. I have also noticed a few people on here with silver stilo's... coyle and JFL for example, love the cars guys (y). (hope you don't think i am treading on your toes in terms of the look i am going for, as i wouldn't want to upset anyone ) I have just had a vision of what i wanted 3years ago and intend to stick to it :). It wont be the same but a kind of mixture of two. The picture below will give a rough idea. (y)

here is what i have bought...

Still a 1.2 but hope to upgrade the engine next year depending on cost and other issues whatever they may be..

this is a rough idea of the style i want as well in the end, trying to keep it fairly simple, possibly a schumacher front bumper, boot spoiler and a bumper added aswell, cant think of the name of the bumper but you will see soon.

Yeah sorry took the picture from the stilo for sale on here lol but it was the one with the best quality and angle to put some of the stuff i wanted on :p

Hope you will all enjoy!

Cheers Everyone
I meant this one? lol.

Ah the other one haha

Yeah they are Keskin KT1's and have been photoshopped on. They don't do 17x9J on that model of wheel only a 10J and i wouldn't be able to guess how much they would stick out of the arch they do have 8.5J though. KTN5 are 9J and they are a bit out of the arch but nothing to daft. I just wanted something a little wider :)

There is a thread in the members section of a Punto with them on that looks really really nice. Not got time to look for it though as i am in work shouldnt be to hard to find (y)

Yeah i have put a tilt on it for that picture but it does stick out abit. I need to get round to putting it in properly. Modded a single din plate which is ok for the time being so guessing when i put the double din plate in it will be a little better. Dont really notice much though. The facia is a double din which i picked up from Halfords.
I have just no had time lately to fix things, still waiting on these wheels from rimstyle  which is my main concern at the min. Then i will be getting on to fixing bits a bobs and moving on to next steps. (y)

OK got the wheels on today at they look amazing! Well I only have 3 on as its in the garage Monday for the wheel with a locking wheel nut with no key
I have noticed a little rubbing (not good) For a tempory solution until i get my suspension on adjustable coilovers, am i right in saying that i can get rubber mounts to put in the rear suspension to reduce movement. Alos if so what are they called?

Cheers people

pics soon as i get the other alloy on (y)

I thought i would put some pics up of the car before i receive delivery of my coilovers :) I have had to put in spring assistors in to stop the back arch rubbing on the rear driver side tyre, the other was fine even without the assistor in. I think its the spring that is at fault as the assistors have only reduced rubbing and not completely stopped it nor are they practical for eveyday driving. Sooner they are off and the coilovers are on the better i guess :(

quick update before i run out to pick up the missus from work

and to finish

new grill
wind deflectors
& abarth skirts .. ordered awaiting delivery (y)

Hope you all like

kt-5 one of the bests!
good choice mate ;)

Also thankyou all for the replys

Yeah they are ace haha. Someone curbed my front passenger the other day when he asked for a go. Told him to watch the curbs and it wouldnt be a problem 'well pissed me off, never again!' LESSONS LEARNT NOW! I mount a curb at like a 90 degree angle since putting these on to avoid this. Well atleast it wasn't the rear but still :(

Got the idea from the car attached, he has moved on to Image alloys now so thought it would be ok for me to take over the Ktn5 stylee :p

Also thankyou all for the replys as said its always good having nice feed back after putting alot of work into something you like. Thanks again!
