500 (Abarth) My Abarth 500

I sure am!!! I am still waiting for the SS 500 at S G Petch so I can test drive it. Last I heard they were still waiting for the kit to come in.

Did i spot you on the A19 the other day mate? you were coming back toward York from Selby direction...?

It might have been me. I do use the A19 quite a bit. When did you see it?

I haven't had chance to test it fully yet, still running it in. Nearly time to give it some abuse! It sure feels quick, lots of low down torque. MPG at the minute is 33MPG. Think it will be around the 30MPG mark which isn't to bad. Will be able to give you a better indication in about a months time.

Would have been Saturday or Sunday, late morning/early afternoon. Can't be many about, certainly the first i've seen on the road up this way. Looked btw

how quick is the abarth 500 0-60??

0-60 on the 500 is 7.9, and on the essesse 7.4.

I do drive around York quite a bit in it so you might well see me. I am happy to meet up with anyone to show them if they want!!!

Think mines the only one in Wales! Great fun! Turns more heads than any supercar, it's just so different. If you park up anywhere you'll get at least one boy racer park up next to you on either side, wanting all the gen or people will just walk past and take pictures! It's mad! My MPG has been 28 (worst) and 30.5 (best) so far. Little tank means frequent refueling.

Everyone wants a race! BTW does anybody else's backfire when you change gear? Mine does, almost every gear change if you dip the clutch just at the right time you get one hell of a BANG! I try and time it with tunnels/walls etc (windows down!) the boy racers go nuts!

Erm that means it's over fuelling (unless its the essesse which can be expected). I'd get it checked .

Saw you agian i think. 5pm yesterday, A19 coming out of Escrick, i flashed you in a stilo multiwagon (i was a bit late though so you might not have seen)

I was coming out of Escrick at about half 2 to 3 o'clock yesterday. I have a feeling there might be another one round that area. Mine is an 09 plate, but I think there is one with a private reg along the lines of 'FIATS'. I was flashed at about 11am by a 500 owner on the road between escrick and skipwith.

I love them , I would have one if it wasn't for the size

Just found where the 'Fiat ss' numberplate Abarth 500 lives, North Duffield. I'm guessing that could be the one you keep seeing!
