Grande Punto My GP and possible colour schemes

Introduction

Hey, thought id post a few pics of my car alongside a couple of photoshopped ideas. Got a 1.2 active GP with a K&N induction, Ragazzon backbox, Front & Rear abarth lights, smoked side repeaters, 17" Finichi alloys, MS Linea Race grille and KW lowering springs (hopefully going to invest in some coilys and getting her slammed soon though). Boot lid is still yet to be smoothed and ICE is still lumbered in my room. Suggestions welcome
i always wanted slightly dished alloys so lightweight was always out of the question. Are there any guides for fitting a seat splitter on here? iv had one in my garage for months and not really gone back to it! looks like quite a bit of modifying has to be done but just wanted a rough idea of what exactly lol

Yea you were right, there are plenty of threads already on the matter. Think iv come to a decision on the colour scheme front...white wing mirrors and the lip going round the alloys (possibly front grill to).

What does everyone think?

Yea i can see what you mean. however, it is a more direct induction and it has a cold air feed. The gsr has such a long intake! if your modified it and somehow made it shorter then without a doubt it would be much better. Is it worth remapping a 1.2?? been looking at RedDot and GSR remaps and cant really decide whether or not its actually worth it. I mean ideally id start by getting a straight through and a new manifold but the insurance isnt having any of it (n)

The GSR has a long intake because that is what is best for the car induction wise. Do you think they would make it so long if it didnt benefit the car being in the position it is? Why do you think that being shorter would be better?

You could put as many cold air feeds to a filter on top of the engine you want. It will always suffer from heatsoak while it is strapped on to the throttlebody.

Why do you want a straight though? I presume by this you are talking about getting rid of all cats in the exhaust system? If you do this on an NA you are effectively killing your car. No cats = no backpressure = no power.

Its has a long intake so the filter can be positioned in the coolest place in the engine bay. If the intake was shorter the air being forced through it would be filtered quicker and more efficiently. All air filters suffer to some degree as warm air is being passed through.

No i mean a straight through with a sports cat. would get a de-cat but then it wouldnt pass the MOT as the car is newer than 2001.

With a K'n'N you would have to get a pipe to feed from the outside to the filter on the K'n'N. With the GSR it is straight through. The airflow towards the K'n'N filter will dispurse as soon as it exits the pipe.

When I went to Demon Tweeks about a straight through exhaust they were going to make me an adaptor so I could slot the cat back in for when it was time for its MOT.

The air filter doesnt suffer with warm air, nothing suffers, its just that cold air is better for performance.

Iv pretty much made my mind up now of what sort of colour scheme im going for. These were my two favs...

Got front and rear abarths. Personally dont think you can get a better set of lights. Rear tinted lights would work if i had matching black shoes and rear windows tinted
