Punto (Mk2/2b) my punto sporting

Introduction

thought i would upload some pictures of my car at this early stage of my project.
So far i've fitted an OMP racing backbox (ybracing.com), GSR induction kit (GSR), Carzone rear bumper (Ebay), Abarth roof spoiler (also Ebay),colour coded mirrors and a few cosmetic bits like door sills, aerials, tax discs holder and airfresher (halfords)! lol, also current doing a bit of sound proofing of the boot and under back seats using left over recording studio acoustic boards, see how it works out they were free after all! :)

got planned ... bit of mesh for rear bumper (awaiting delivery... still), need to fit colour coded handles (already painted), tint rear windows (£130 pssc tinting peterborough), abarth front bumper, toyo tr-1 tyres (coming soon - black circles), strut brace front, lowered springs (can't decide which ones on a £200 - 300 budget, probably G-max or PI), finish off with a nice GSR remap and supersprint manifold in around a year or 2, once gained extra cash and Insurance NCB lol.

got it at the same time as the bumper, £80 for the bumper and spoiler. but you can find them on ebay, try typing in punto spoiler or something like that. think they are going between £30 - £60. or take a look at this one buy it now £39.99 don't think that a bad price.

Mesh all fitting on bumper, looking the dog's now!!!
inside all valeted, very nice zesty fresh smell:yum:

finally managed to remove the tigerseal off my hands, swarfega, WD40 Fairy liquid , carex handwash =(n)

2 days of scratching and picking bits of the stuff off(y)

looks nice.. (y) and you could do with a HGT center console inplace of that sporting one.. :)

the HGT centre console is the same as my sporting from the ones ive seen on ebay. got the full silver front cd changer and the Satnav (no cup holders), only difference is the addition of the electric mirror button near the handbrake.

right,

Now I have found some brand new genuine Abarth side skirts from research abarth's ebay shop got the winning bid of £52 that included postage.

so i had them spray and fitting for £120- perfect paint match top job(y), got some Abarth centre caps for the wheels for £16 brand new but going to hold on to them as im unsure what to do with the wheels. I like the sporting alloys, but i think they would look better more brighter and shiny not too OTT like chrome or something but i like bright silver like these
fiatlg.jpg

or these

but then i really like the team dynamics Monza R alloys but don't really want to jump to far away from the abarth-fiat original look:bang: plus i just put on 4 new toyo T1R proxes

got fed up of waiting for an abarth front bumper so just ordered one for £215 off partsworld-uk, do really think that too bad considering fiberglass bumper by carzone sell for RRP of £210. And let's face it you can't beat the real thing.

also got some Official FIAT sun blinds for £10 which look really cool got a tinted look for next to nothing and the convience of being able to take them down in the winter, plus I also ripped the fiat badge of the back and replaced it with a nice new shiny one. so all in all coming along nicely(y) happy days

Coming along nicely mate, any pictures?

I got some of those sunblinds for £10 aswell, great deal, some people have already said to me, have you tinted your windows :D
The only annoying thing is the black line down the middle in the rear window!
I think the alloys would look nice in anthracite IMO (y)

...the rear bumper its too deep for an abarth, sorry :(

that would be because its a Carzone specials rear bumper not an Abarth bumper, picked that and the spoiler up for £80 together so though it was a very cheap and would look better than the Sporting rear.

but TBO i will never buy a fiberglass bumper or body bit again as it is crappy horrible material for it ABS is far better in my opinion and Carzone are meant to be made very well, but trust me the pictures don't do the rear bumper justice it does look good in the flesh.(y) Only down side to it is dirt and mud collects on the flat bit where it comes through the mesh which means i have to wash it all the time plus the bumper even though it was a reasonably good fit its not as good as a fiat fit!;)

Car goes in to get the front bumper fitted 2morrow, having the rear mesh sprayed black and the handle colour coded. cost me £190 for fitting, spraying of bumper, colour coding the handles and spraying the rear mesh. Not Bad eh?(y)

Pictures to follow shortly...

Where did you get your sunshades from? And do they do them for the 5 door. I would imagine they are a different shape as there is no window catch.

As for the car mate, top job. As for the alloys I think anthracite would look cool on a yellow car(y)

Re: my punto sporting - the Abarth chronicles

Love it, looks amazing, are you going to de-strip the sides or colour code them?
