Punto (Mk2/2b) My Mk2b

Introduction

Thought I'd upload pics of my 2004 1.2 8v Punto Active Sport.
Just gave her a quick clean today, the road gritted wheels and mud splashed doors weren't a good look! Peeled off the Active Sport badges too, think it looks better without. Wouldn't mind a couple more horsepower but love my car loads!

Fitted:
-17" Wolfrace Pro Sprint alloys, with Abarth centre badges,
-Abarth skirts and badges,
-1000w sub & amp, 250w components with amps and pioneer head unit (all from my best mates on my birthday! :D)
everything else is pretty much standard.

To fit:
-35mm lowering springs
-Stilo front splitter

Possible plans for future:
-Remove door strip (if I can convince my dad it provides almost no protection against door dings)
-Fit Abarth door sills (if I'm lucky enough to come across a pair!)
-Colour code door handles and mirrors
-Xenon sidelights (mine are abit yellow!)
-Tint rear 3 windows smoked
-GSR induction kit (if I somehow come across much more money!)

Let me know of opinions, and any ideas for future mods - although my budget is very limited at the moment!
Cheers

thanks, yeah i really like the wheels, cant wait for it to be lowered, got the springs just need them fitted! and yeah removing the door strips is next on my plan!
Cheers

Lookin good so far.

Not so keen on the abarth badge all on the front goes but goes with the rest of the car.

Stilo splitter looks subtly nice, waiting for mine to be delivered.
GSR induction kit, i reccommend one.

i agree with c17mgo's badge comment i think ive seen some black scorpians somehwhere they would set it of nice...looks good i like the abarth window sticker where did you get that from?..will look good when lowered im geting mine done next week...mine looks abit standard atm :(..good work tho

Yeah the front badge is temporary to complete the look, I like it on the rear as it contrasts the black and matches the light colours. The front grill is being replaced with a badgeless one when I have the money.

Got the Abarth sticker somewhere on eBay about a year ago, dont know if they still sell it but im sure someone could make it for you. Although I plan on peeling it off when I get my rears tinted.

wheels are too big will kill the gearbox eventually standard 15s ftw (y)

Funnily enough my gearbox has broken, but its luckily unrelated to the 17's as it's been making a rough noise for a few months and now its getting louder. So stuck the 15's back on and getting a 6 speed that my dad (he's a mechanic luckily!) can fit, gonna use the 17's as summer wheels & refurb my 15's anthracite and use them as winter wheels.

Actually really like them alloys. Once its lowered it will look spot on with the Abarth sideskirts.

Yeah thanks, I really like the wheels. I like their colour against the black bodywork and the red Abarth center badges. Definately needs lowering - I've got the springs, just need fitting!

Thanks alot for all the comments, much appreciated.

Might aswell update my pics on here,
destripped the doors, fitted smoked side repeaters and fitted 6500k xenons. Next up is painting the headlight backings black and getting debadged grill, then rear tints. 6 speed hopefully in soon, and lowering hopefully done soon - still waiting for my dad to get a free day in his garage to do these, along with fitting the Stilo splitter.

Destripped:

6500k's:

Will take a night pic soon, but the difference in the yellowy standard fogs and the whiter xenon headlights shows the change roughly.

Very Nice, like the future plans but please do not tint your 2b rear lights, buy some of the lights off the mk2's with the orange indicators and tint them - then maybe sell your 2b lights ;)

lol sorry no i meant my headlights - gonna paint the silver backing on them black. Leaving the rear lights as standard, you'll be suprised how many people have offered to buy them though! They must be hard to come by!

How low are you going then?

Only 35mm at the front, 15mm at the back. With the 17's that'll be plenty low enough, and with the 15's it'll look better but still be pretty soft in terms of ride. It's the best all rounder for me I think.

Desperate to get the springs fitted though, as I'm noticing now how much taller an Active Sport is compared to the Sportings etc, and there a few in my area that make mine look like a tractor!

Glad to hear they're good! Can't wait for mine to be fitted, my dads fitting everything I've bought but his garage is so busy at the moment he has no free time on the ramp.

So I've been playing the waiting game for 2 months now, and it's showing no signs of changing so still gonna have to wait for a significant amount of time! :bang:
