Tipo (Classic) My Fiat Tipo 2.0 16v TURBO

Introduction

Here is my recently brought Fiat Tipo with a 2.0 16v turbo engine.
Nice car, was watching on ebay as interesting car.

Its not an integrale engine, its a Fiat Coupe engine as integrale has different intake manifold and only EVO2's have coil packs which are sited at cam end, Fiat Coupe has them on inlet manifold and you can see the coil leads going up that way through hole you get in spark plug cover on Fiat's.

Not many but some subtle difference's between them which save money. integrale engine as said has different inlet manifold plus I think bigger throttle body, very expensive sodium filled valves, and on EVO's teflon (may be some other slippery coating that I can't remember name of) coated pistons. Plus Fiat Coupes run small T25 turbo's as do EVO2's though on EVO's 2 with T3 flange all other integrale run bigger T3's.

All in nice car, love it (y)

the mk1 and mk2 tipo 2.0 have different inlet manifolds as i found this out when i dropped my mk2 engine into my mk1

very nice:yum: wouldn't mind seeing how they have done it, do you know if its the delta turbo they have put on?

It is a standard 2.0 16v turbo coupe engine but it has had some work done to the turbo itself not sure exactly as still going thrugh the cars history (as you can guess there is alot). I have also been given a performance chip which i will have fitted soon along with a rolling road test to see what power she is putting out.

Yey my old car :slayer: Im glad to see its still driving around and not in a ditch somewhere:)

I knew Mark Hobbs way back long before that car was turbo charged, and mine was a road car. He was a top bloke who never did anything by half. The guy that sold it had to get the balancers re-timed, which was decent thing to do hence it coming and going on ebay. I was close to buying it, then I thought why do I need it.

BTC16V redish tipo is still owned by george Roberts, originally built by torque italia, and a fair few hours put in by me.

If I owned that car which has a hybrid turbo the first thing I would buy would be the RP labs software and have it mapped properly by gandg motorsport.
