you sure you want to map it before its loosened up a bit?

mapped my diesel with low miles done 70000miles and still going good 16mths old

scooby only done 10000 miles and no problems just a beast
got some graphs some where will have to get them scanned :)

does a remap affect the warranty?[/quot

of nuova website says it all

ECU remapping is the modern version of "chipping". This means we can re-flash the original chip in your ECU with new data to change the characteristics and performance of your engine. With this change we can add up to 25bhp and 55Nm torque of power to the engine, while smoothing the delivery and improving the throttle response.

Engine tuning does not have any downside; it’s physically undetectable and will have no long term detrimental affect on your engine or drive train.

Our ECU remapping is fully reversible; therefore if you are not happy with what we have done we can return it to standard.

Our engine tuners have many years experience of tuning Fiat engines and will come to you to perform the work at no extra charge (mainland UK only). If you are outside of the UK, you can still send us your ECU and we will do the work, please email us for details.

We have done over 4,000 miles of testing on our own 1.3 Multijet at various levels and the improvement in drivability, speed and economy is almost unbeleivable.

+25bhp
+40Lb ft / 55Nm
+2-4mpg improvement
Huge improvement in turbo response

nuova are same as AT though i wouldn't call that many years experience. physically undetectable is a bit miss leading, as fiat techs can tell its there, but Ive never seen some one loose any warranty claims for having one.
but remember that on a new car dealer will need to do up dates on the ecu, that will over wipe your remap, so make sure that you get a guarantee that map will be replaced if this happens, i know that red dot do it free but not sure about others

my local mapper can over write most software so not worried about this as he a clever guy when it comes to electronics and software(y)
been using him for several years had no problems so far :)

spoke to dealers mechanic today and the can read thet you have had a remap (y)
when resetting it it does not wipe it off if done correctly ;)

I'd be very interested in hearing about the torque/mpg improvements. If you can get driveability and economy improvements then the additional horsepower is a bonus. I think it will be a little difficult to quantify the benefits straight away as from the posts I have read these things improve naturally over the first 2000 or so miles.

As an aside, did anyone see Tonight, on Sunday night regarding the fitment of a separate box of tricks that he swears blind works wonders on his cars. I missed it and hope it will be repeated soon or if not I might be able to find it online.
