I've been following these threads since I ordered my 500 in January with keen interest (primarily hoping no one would have catastrophic problems I could look forward to :)). For my first post I'd planned to throw some photos of the car up in the members motors section and say hi, but that isn't to be so I've gotta get five posts without putting pointless filler up - I'd rather contribute to the forums properly.

Picked up my 500 almost 4 months after ordering it and drove it straight to Scotland! 1.3 Sport giving me about 45-50mpg hitting around 70-85mph. Pretty sure the engine will open up and give me even better economy in time.

I'm so so happy with it and pleasantly surprised by how nippy it is. Traded from an Alfa 147 so things are slightly different ;) Looking forward to sharing my car properly with you!!

Hi Damiano .. Happy motoring :)

Sounds like you have been having loads of fun already. We keep going out in our little car ... had an Alfa before too (156 Sportwagon) it was so thirsty and the petrol gauge never worked, we dreaded going anywhere - now we have a car we can fill up for under £30 (well, £33 today and rising), a trip computer to play with and go for miles and miles .....!!

Enjoy and post the photos for us soon!

Got my 5 posts so I can give you some links to my gallery now :)

- 1.3 Sport
- Red Leather/Black ambience
- 16" Multispoke Alloys
- Electric Sunroof
- Full Bodykit (front bumper spoiler - side skirts - rear bumper spoiler)
- Side Rubbing Strips
- Chrome Kit
- Italian Flag Roof Stripe
- ASR
- Leather Gearknob
- Sports Pedals
- Carpet Mats :D
- Alarm... suposedly - how do you test that one out? ;)

I admit I took a bit of a chance getting the body kit on it - I couldn't have it set up in the fiat500.com configurator without the kit but I was slightly worried it might dick the car out too much. In the end the gamble paid off, I can't comprehend getting it without it now :)

The car looks spot on, be interetsed to know what you think of the elec sunroof, as I ordered one after a fair bit of umming and arr-ing?

I ordered the electric sunroof on my 500 Sport which was collected last week. I can say it works well and doesn't rattle too much as it slides up and over the roof rather than inside the roof.

There is a little wind noise at high speeds though.

Well... last Fiat I'd experienced with a sunroof was my dad's Panda 45, which we had to seal with masking tape to stop the rain getting in (and the sunroof flying off)

Thankfully this one is a lot more solid and sealed :) There's three main positions - closed, tilted open, slid right back.

Closed it's shut tight like a window - I had a little attempt to see if i could open it with my hands from the outside testing the basic security and it doesn't budge.

Tilted open let's a hell of a lot of air flow through the car which is really useful on motorways when you can't open it fully.

Slid right back makes a racket above 50mph but there haven't been enough sunny days for me to really take advantage of it yet. It sits pretty tight when open - I'm not scared of it falling off or anything so the masking tape can stay in the drawer for now :D

There's also a retractable mesh that sits under the sun roof that acts as a shade/wind breaker but I never use it.

The body kit looks first class, sporty but without being boy-racerish in anyway. I'm so glad i've ordered the same kit to be added. Its not half expensive thou. My order is the 'lounge' so i also had to add the rear spoiler, i think i spent almost £420 odd on it. After seeing you pictures I know its worth every penny.

oh, we have the same wheels and seats, just my bodywork will be black.
