Punto (Mk2/2b) Punto active 1.2i

Introduction

Bought myself a new Fiat Punto 1.2i active, 52 REG around 2 - 3 months ago for £1400. It has done 85k on the clock as it was used as a company car before hand and did mostly all motorway miles. The owner before was a mechanic and looked after the car brilliantly, serviced himself.

I got it checked over once I had bought it anyway, got new oil in there and had the timing belt replaced as I wasn't sure he had replaced it even though he said he had! The exhaust has been replaced just recently as well.

So far, I have only managed to de-badge one of the badges on the back, will probably do the same to the Punto badge on the back soon enough. Added full new seat covers, gear knob, black leather gaitor, momo sporting pedals and kept it clean at all times of course!! :D

Looking to buy new head and tail lights [hopefully black LED] and get some nice sporting wheels for it, not going for custom alloys like I did with my last Punto as it bumps the insurance up too much at the moment.

Here are some pictures...

I am thinking of going ahead with buying a set of these headlights - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....STORE:HTMLBUILDER:SIMPLEITEM#ebayphotohosting

I cannot find any decent black LED tail lights so I think I may just smoke them out, tinting them myself.

Looking to also buy these to replace the shabby wheel trims and tyres, looks like they're in great condition at a good price - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Genuine-Fiat-...geNameZWINQ3aPOST0Q3aRECOQ3aBINQQcmdZViewItem

I will need to lower the car when I have the wheels on, but that will be the start of the mods done and will make the car look a whole lot better already :D Got a lot more that I want to do.

I have fitted new stylish splatter guards, and I have my new leather sporting steering wheel but I need to get it fitted still! :(
I phoned up my insurance company to check how much the standard fiat alloy wheels would affect my insurance, and they got back to me today telling me it would be an extra £177 a year. Seems quite an expensive rise for standard 15 inch wheels, not sure if I'll go ahead with buying them now or not.

Finally managed to fit the leather sporting steering wheel last night, looks so much better and will get a pic or two up soon! Looking into getting nicer wheels than the standard ones I was looking into, and lowering. That's probably as far as I'll go with this car, not worth doing much else to it.
