Punto (Mk1) My Mk1 Punto

Introduction

I've just managed to resurrect the laptop and on it were a few pictures from shortly after I bought the car, and spent a day with a bottle of T-Cut and very carefully removed as much of the creosote (that was covering most of the body) as possible:

Since these pictures there have been a few changes like the donation of some multis-poke looking wheel trims and an assortment of equipment being mounted around the drivers seat (phone holder, Cobra Camera detector) and a set of 6"x9" speakers on an MDF shelf with speaker cloth to cover them. I will post up more pic's as and when I take them (might get a few at the weekend if the weather is nice enough to clean the car).

All the other improvements are on hold till after my exams, just over a month then I can start properly :D

Comments welcome :)

I think the glitter is to do with a paint option, It has some more obvious damage these days such as 2 dents in the roof I haven't managed to remove after somebody decided to use my roof as a floor  Also a dent in the bonnet from it too :(

Car is at the MOT test center at the minute so not sure if it's in need of repairs or not but I'm going to guess it is

Same Colour and modle as mine :D hehe but iv made the mistake of "chavvin" it up... badboy exhaust, 15" alloys. looks quite tidy actualy, but recently had a new door, and front wing because some LUNATIC bricked it... New psnger side door includin window, new wing, Primed and sprayed for 50quid !!! was well pleased and now looks like new :)

Hiya man!
Realy good condition outside how the engine run? Hopfly perfect?!
Yours white Punto is fantastic material for visual tunning
Many. many options to do!!!
Finger crossed you will update this small white angel
What do think to put sicker Angel on back window and tinted??? And call your Fiat Angel with 100 BHP + Nitro Bottle???
All the best

Hi Slawek,

the body work isn't as good as the camera proclaims it to be, there's lots of small touch-ups I need to carry out (dents, stone chips etc)

Engine has been nothing but a dream even with problems such as leaking thermostat gasket, leaking core plug and a suicidal tensioner. All of which have been long fixed :)

Personally I aren't a fan of Angel/Lexus/Morrett light's front or back on the Mk1 Punto

Power modifications are a bit of a grey area at the minute, got my insurance renewal in under a month and I'm still under 21 so we shall see what the insurance company want for what modifications. I hope to at least get fog lights on it with an update to the policy :)

Not sure a nitro bottle attached would be appropriate for the 95 mile trip I do almost every day during term time but would make it go a little faster and getting onto the A50 easier if I can rope in the wheelspin it already produces stock :chin:

Oh and new 2 new tyres before the end of January need to be purchased too, will update the pictures next time I get chance to clean the car properly :D

Looks a pretty clean punto to start on.

I drive a Punto as well, but it's a sporting and yellow. Have to agree Lexus lights really don't suit the punto at all, rather have them smoke tinted.

Get some more pictures up!

any updates on progress?? new pictures?? white punots FTW

Unfortunately I won't have any real time for about a fortnight, currently looking at options with my exhaust now its developed a crack, need to find where it is and look at my options from there, amonngst stripping the dash out and getting to work!

I unfortunately have had a hectic few months, I am currently in university 9 till 5:45 plus about 2 hours commuting and have been for the past 2 months, Saturdays are eaten by archery leaving Sundays.

Managed to clean the car some and replace 2 of the 4 tyres, need a new flexi-section in the exhaust due to there being a hole in it at the top; sounds like a petrol tractor . At worst I replace the whole exhaust (don't think its worth getting a performance exhaust personally). Also the radiator is weeping slightly but nothing serious.

I have a few bits around ready to go in, just need to get enough time to do it, on the plus side I finish from uni in a months time :D

Anyone experienced in treating rust spots? ;)

On the photography side, the car has now been featured in a Human Factors essay I had to hand in today, isn't my life exciting? :(
