Seicento Seicento Abarth Turbo

Introduction

Well just realised never actually done a thread for this car so here it is:

I bought it for my G/F to use to keep my 205 safe :D

So it's a year 2000 Seicento Sporting with ABS and Air con (and weirdly a sunroof as well ) that has had an Abarth kit fitted.

It had the turbo conversion done when it was around 20days old

It's currently on 35k.. and running sweet (Touch wood )

So anyway here's the pics i've also got a few scans of some of the paperwork that may interest people including the original fitment parts list from Van Aaken :)

Pull Your trousers up "chief"

Got a few bits and pieces to fit as well:

Shiny Fuel Pressure Regulater

Punto GT 257mm front brakes (Uno turbo rears are in a box in the garage)
Should stop quite well if the ABS doesn't kick in too much (n)

Also have a 40mm Throttle body coming soon and a "Turbo ie" badge once painted

Here's some scans that may be of interest if not just for giggles of reading how to look after a turbo cento ;)

Not much more really planned being a sensible daily driver ;) well other than relocate the air filter somewhere a bit cooler and get a decent bore exhaust system made up :)

All comments welcome :D

Jamie, did any of the pics i took come out, i forgot to get them off the phone...

Well that sucks. Was hoping to get a conversion made up and use it on a policy for my 2nd year of driving.

Luke.
Nout stopping you from making your own up. there are posts on this, lists of what you need etc, have a search. ;)

Err yeah have them on my phone still but my bluetooth dongle majig has died on me only the 2nd one now

Err no updates to add other than shiny new waterpump and cambelt now fitted (y)

Done anything else to it yet Jamie?

Errr nope, other than dropped the manifold off to get the blowing sorted properly, getting it all machined flat like V/A should of always done ;)

Might be an idea to do yours before it goes back together (y)

Also got a "turbo i.e" badge ready to fit to it and a few other fancy parts although not sure if she's staying getting lured by other more facy cars  (mostly jap lol)

Cheers Rich (y)

Right just a quick little update..

After a bit of umming and ahhhing about what to do with the car (sell it was my idea but Kirsty wants to keep it ) I decided to give it a good going over..

Firstly the blowing on the turbo to exhaust manifold had to be sorted which is the ball ache of removing the front bumper, radiator et all (n) Happy days..

The cause of the blowing was the two surfaces not machined completely flat when the conversion was done which in turn bent the studs and has been seen a few times on VA cars..

Solution is easy enough, get a engineering shop to machine both surfaces perfectly flat.. :)

At this point I decided to do the job properly to get the car totally sorted all round and hopefully as tidy and well built as a certain Imola blue one (high target )

This led to the "do list" like all us cento'ers have ;)

First part is the sooner to do stuff... (hopefully in the next couple of weeks)

Firstly some new coolant hoses from oldschool
Fit Fuel Pressure Regulater
New ally radiator
Oil Cooler setup if i can find space
Magnecor leads
Champion EON1 plugs
Water temp guage
Oil temp/pressure guage
Fit GT front brakes
Oh yeah fit new front speakers and sub

And stuff to do in the next few months:
Punto 75 Camshaft
Either PSA 36mm TB or Tricker TB
Blue Alcantara reclining bucket seats
Refurb 130TC wheels in white and get spacers (£££'S )
Mk2 Seicento coolant tank
Mk2 Seicento Strut brace (if it fits )
Relocate air filter to wheel arch
And just some general anodised bolts and paint a few bits that are dirty :yum:

And just because everyone loves pictures here's one at end of play today...

Where to fit the oil cooler

Glad to see you're keeping it Jamie and going to get it finished properly - some bits that VA just never thought to do like the oil cooler and proper mounting of the turbo to the manifold :D

Good luck with it mate, keep us posted (y)

102bhp is a respectable figure given the original power :)

Nice going mate (y)

Have you got any headwork done?
