when ever red dot can fit me in ;):D

There's a rolling road day on the 3rd Feb in Watford, remap with before and after rolling road run is £199.

need some help with it though, it is very sluggish when cold, is this correct? if you floor it when cold it just drives as if you are barely touching the accelerator, its quite dangerous when pulling into round abouts etc, cos its so slow, but then after 15 mins or so, all of a sudden (feels like turning nos on lol) you floor it and it works great and seems very powerful and torquey, its just when cold its like having a 50cc engine in there.

That's definitely not normal. Most common causes of loss of power on the JTD is the MAF sensor or EGR valve. If it's only when the engine is cold then it might be related to the lambda sensor? When was it last serviced?

Also you shouldn't be booting a turbo engine from cold. :p Should only use boost when upto temp.

is that with no ncb at all?

i was only £1300 a year on my stilo, with 1 years ncb and it has more power

(i got the insurance quote when i was 18 back in may last year)

woof thats a ridiclulous amount of money  should have waited for a years ncb before upgrading....
is that including insuring a remap? guessing it doesnt ;) well youd better start saving for a new car if/when you crash it :p

Not a bad buy, maybe a little too much but you are down south so i reckon thats maybe about right. As others have said, you shouldnt be booting it from old (n) thought we'd explained that about your GT? you might find the fault shows up easier on the dyno, then you can go away and fix it if you can't find a definte fault before thn, but the advise you've been given is good, new filter, blast through with good diesel cleaner, and if that doesnt work, EGR valve.

BTW woof regarding insurance! was about £1100 fully comp for my stilo when i was 18! You claimed with them before?

Hi mate,

Should look good when you tidy it up!! Welcome to the JTD club.

The poor performace when cold will probably be either MAF(try disconnecting it and taking it for a drive. If the problems gone, then its your MAF), or as you have power when warm, is most probably EGR sticking open. Oh and there is no lambda on diesels.

Nice colour.
I cant believe your paying that much on insurance (n) COmplete waste of money imo. You should have stuck with one of your punto 60s or 75s until uve got atleast 1 years no claims! Your paying like £180 per month. Thats silly money.

Really though its only because you live in southend. There probably isnt a higher risk place in the country :p

BTW, running **** from cold isnt normal. Just thought I would let you know. Theres defo something up with it. My JTD always performed exactly the same regardless whether I had just started it from cold or upto full running temp.

Get Angel to map it. They will come out and do it at your house in an hour or so.
