Panda (Classic) Panda 4x4 a.k.a. Chichi

Introduction

Well it has been a battle, but i think i can safely say that the car is allmost finished. I think this car is probably allways going to have rust to work on, but maybe smaller bits at a time now lol :D

I have removed the bottom stripe that was burgendy recently and attacked a little more rust since the accident. The stripe had to go though as it was too damaged by underlying rust. Not pleased with removing some of its orriginality but i'm sure i can get a new stripe made up to the correct colour sometime. Looks ok with just the one i think anyway. What does da masses say?

I think ive added the extra spot lights since i last posted in this section aswell.

There is one last opinion i would like to ask aswell. With all this work ive put into this car and its growing rareness. I was wondering what people might think its value may be as it is? Or generally what people would pay for it if it was for sale. I'm not happy with the insurers undervaluing it so much, and wouldnt mind to have a figure to mention maybe. Anyway thanks for reading! I look forward to hearing what ya'll think of her!

Cheers

the panda also looks nice mate lol ;) (y)

 panda's first please! lol. Thats my bro's mini, and its gonna be pretty awesome when its finished. Atm the front has been cut off to make way for a glass fibre flip front and he's just fitted a carbon fibre bootlid today. Looks good with the white boot and red bodywork!

Kill ya self! He's never driven a mini then lol. You'd have to be asleep to hit anything in a mini. Just turn the car and it goes where you point it. My family are mini nutters and i feel a little bit like im letting the side down with my panda. When i can afford a second car....:D i'll be getting myself a clubman i think. I would like summit a bit different, and you dont see them too much.
I say, go for it and get yourself a mini :D you may aswell :D

hes driven one, he put it through the garage door when parents first got married lmao.

minis rock, im looking at a cooper carbed in blue, completely stripped inside :yum:

anwyays back to the panda lol

It's looking good! Your dedication to this car is quite incredible, and I have big respect for that. It's got a nice rough 'n ready look to it too, adds some character.

Value wise, well, MK1 4x4s are bloody rare, even by Panda standards, I reckon with a year's MOT and being in full working order you could get around the £500 mark with a good pitch on eBay and a bit of a bid war.

(y)

Waay, £500 isnt too bad :D Funnily enough before i got it my dad was trying to sell it for £495. No takers tho lol  Lucky it didnt sell i guess, but in the condition it was in i think it wouldve been unlikely!!

But that asside, i would never sell the car anyway. The work ive done on it is a vast improvement but perhaps not up to the standard of a proffesional. I'll need to learn how to weld before i can properly restore her. That'll be a case of no chichi on the roads for over a year tho :(

Maybe i'll have to buy a mini to fill that void......

To herpsuk, Just keep a look out for when panda value crashes. Cars seem to go through these fads sometimes. My friend at uni bought his mini at a bad time where £800 got you a bit of a tatty example. Then about 3 months later the prices crashed. When he came to sell it with the work he had done on it and some new doors and lots of parts thrown in, he could only get £750. I'm sure the time will come that you'll have a panda again anyway. And if not, im sure a mini will do ya fine! (y)

Thanks for the input guys!
