I'd like someone to be able to guess the name of the other car ;)
(Not mine btw, I wish :D )

Whats everyone reckon ?

mira :D :p

looks nice i like the look of it. wheres that from? whats the spec too :D

Its a official Jap Import, was around 200 in the UK from what i remember, the number could have been less/more, but i know they are rare as fook

Most were used for Rallying, and busted up :p

its a 669cc Turbo, running 16v, all the trimmings, intercooler where the bonnet scoop is, ect ect.

The name, Daihatsu Coure/Mira(Jap Name) Avanzato TR-XX R4.

They were known as the Cuore here, but in japan they were called the Mira. hence why im wondering about the bumpers

Official UK model. one of very few. i know the proper one came with the crappy bumper ;)

cinq looks good you got any plans for it?

yea, full abarth kit + 14" speedlines, punto GT brakes, probably a bit of engine work 2.

all when the insurance is due for renewal :D

sounds good to me! keep us updated when you get round to it!

the old g100 (mk3) charade gtti was surprising. it was the fastest 1.0 car in the world, and it only had 99bhp! 0-60 is less than 8 secs as standard, and they could easily be modded to 135bhp without spending much cash. surely the original pocket rocket! (still a rust bucket death trap tho :) )

hell yea they were real nice cars, just hard to get ahold of a nice example. We used to have a diesel charade that did over 100 to the gallon !!!

rubbish mate the nissan march/micra super turbo with a 930cc engine was faster and more powerful 110bhp and 0-60 in 7.7 as standard.

Is the Diahatsu yours? It's cool, I pondered over one a few years ago, but at £4k it was a bit out of my budget.

Wasn't the Charade GTTI around before the Micra Tub though?

Liam

nah its my dads :D

i don't think he paid £4k for it, but its probably worth 4k now seen as its just had a lot of body work restored on it.

New bonnet, side arches all cut out and re-done (they look foooking amazing), all patches of rust removed, ect ect.

The car is minted now, the alloys have just been refurbed, i'd say it has to be one of the best examples in the UK.

And yea, the Charades all are rust buckets now, aint seen a good one in ages.

awsome cars the charades there are one or two about that are still in good condition mine sadly isn't
