There are a couple bits of bodywork damage which I've been quoted £170 to repair which isn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Well impressed with the skyroof, just got to get used to 24MPG now  :D

Typical though when I picked the car up it started raining so haven't had the chance to use the roof properly yet :(

Here are a few pics of the damage

this is from a firework which landed on the bonnet

And this must be where he just scraped a wall or something

There are a few very light scratches on the skirts as well, but they should polish out.

Also started the car up after work and got the message "theft has been attempted" :( I can't see any forced entry or any other bumps so it's either a car with a very loud zorst went past or there's a fly or a spider trapped in the car setting off the sensors.

always nice to know if somebodys tried nicking your nice new abarth and didnt succeed. :p

Out of interest...

a) How much did that set you back?

and

b) What is your insurance / age / etc etc

I'm gonna be desperate for a new car in a month or so, having not had anything since my Sei which I sold about a year ago I've been looking at these and I'd be interested to know if they're realistic or not. 24mpg is pretty serious though :(

Sorry I didn't reply earlier.

a) it cost £5600 with 22k miles on the clock

b) I'm 21 and the insurance cost £900 fully comp through tesco, insurance group 15.

Nice Abarth :)
Btw, I see that your previous jtd had been remapped. I was just wondering, what is the difference in feeling , driving regarding the bhp if you compare the chipped jtd and the Abarth ? Turbo diesels deliver all that power instantly, so does one notice those 10bhp more in the Abarth ?

TBH my JTD feels faster because of the turbo and the short rev range, but the Abarth is only very slighty quicker with most of the power coming from the top end of the revs.

oh and don't forget that 5-pot sound is better than a tractor or a boat as the missus called it :p

Gorgeous Abarth Dan, nice one mate (y)

I've reset the trip computer and it's now 20.4 mpg :D

Ah yes the destinctive feature of the 5pot engine..... these wild beats can usually be found marking their teritory around the super-unleaded pumps at your local petrol station lol.

My Bravo usually averages around 22-23mpg :D although I had it averaging 17.5mpg but that was with burnt plugs and a blowing downpipe
