Opinions welcome

got to say that paint is awefull.

its NEEDS some autoglym super resin polish, a few hours, then a good quality wax.

also pictures in the dark often look bad because the wheelarchs show up the cow sht thats in there (its impossible to get off).

the paintwork isnt that bad at all??, the vast majority of cars are like that and you cant tell a lot from just a photo??.,
also he did just wash the car so there most likely isnt any polish/wax on it so its just bare laquer in the pic.,

I like the look of the car mate, and with a quick flick the paint will be better than the day it was bought.,:) (y)
with the new wheels it'll look great, id also tint the rear windows to match in with the car colour, thats would look good.,
you might also concider lowering it after you get the new wheels on it when you know how high its gonna sit on them..,.,(y)

good luck with it mate.,(y)

I mean "that" photo, and to say that most cars dont have those swirls is ridiculous, especially if a car has been painted. there from the flat sanding before it gets polished, and washing the car with a sponge when its gritty.
I work in crash repairs so i see this a lot and with a bit of polish on that it'll be gone in no time(y)

OH HELL A SPONGE!!! ERROR OF ALL MIGHTY ERRORS.

sponges are for washing your back and crack.

it makes me cry seeing practically new (qutie a few 07 plate cars already paint marred) cars damaged by lack of someone spending £20 on some decent stuff. I mean with the cost of an average car being abou £15,000 I think they can stretch the extra £20:bang:

paint isn't bad, better than mine, but mines thrice the age, and in the last few weeks had about a kilo of sandblasting materials dumped out the atomshere onto it (rub it between your fingers and they weep, its THAT abrasive).

i will be purchasing a full meguiars kit soon, and i will be getting teh whole car PC-buffered by a mate so it will get rid of all swirls, the reason there is a load of swirls is from a lazy previous owner using car washes :(

Nice car, nice kit, just needs new alloys (stilo abarth ones) to finish it and a bit lower, as for washing cars, every pro i talk to says not to pressure wash, it lifts laquer on alot of cars but beside that it also just balsts dirt into laquer too, being in bodywork ive seen it time and again, best method (even rolls-royce will tell you this) is to let soap suds soak into the grit (using a good washing compound is the best) with hot water, then wipe off, YES wipe off with a good sponge, all the dirt. Then Polish out the laquer as it will be scratched whatever. Whatever methods otherpeople say, i find this the best method for prolonging your laquer, and reducing paint swirls if you get into the same system every time you clean the car.

kinda true mate, the car had never been polished in its life until i had it, i know, my brother owned it. he liked carwashes

But i will be investing in a PC buffer soon :worship: and i will be able to get rid of those swirls
