it sure does look a mess and you were very lucky!

You managing to get all the bits you wanted from her?

yeah i was very lucky, the more i look at it the more i realise it, and with it being parked outside work i see it a hell of alot :(

as for what im going to do, hopefully the engines in good nick... you see the burgandy weekend behind the hgt, well thats got a blown 20 valver in it, got it free through the classifieds on here so going to do an engine swap and get the weekend sorted, have the leather etc for Patch and see if anyone wants any other bits before sending her off to get crushed :(

my god., you damaged nearly every panel.,lol
what did you hit?

Such a shame to see a car like that, in that condition! (n)
How did it get so damaged?

the front end wasshed out on me, passenger side into kerb bouncing me across the road, then drivers side (removing the wheel :() through a hedge row, hit a street sign head on (bonnet damage) that spun me around an rolled me onto the passenger side

apparently from the spectators view (boss was following me) it was pretty damn impressive aswell as stupidly scary. i was going a bit too quick for conditions yes, but i wasnt breaking the speed limit, just goes to show how the road conditions can change things, i know the roads better than any other... complacency can be a roayl bitch!

you are very lucky really, you could have taken that signpost in the drivers door, and you wouldn't be where you stand today (if you would even be here, head trauma etc).

as vtec says, you have done a good job on EVERY single panel  , not sure anyone I know has managed that before :(

you could salvage the drivers side 147 handle!! I swear someone had a single one going in the classified about 6weeks back, as they had ordered two of the same side

and that repeater lense, and erm, the engine?

yeah i am extremely lucky, the car came to rest with its roof about a foot or so away from a telegragh pole aswell, i leaned against it as i climbed out the car onto the drivers door. i didnt even realise the car had rolled until i walked down the road to my boss' car and turned around to look at mine even though id climbed out of it

i didnt quite damage every panel, the roof, boot, drivers 3/4 panel and door are salvegable aswell as the alfa handle, all the interior and hopefully the engine. wont know about the engine until i cut the front end off in a week or so once ive got a few other bits sorted, such as rebuilding patches engine when the heads been skimmed and ive got the new gaskets and belts etc... then its onto the hgt / marea.... oh the other half will love me :( lol

Good luck with it mate, at least you can stuff the interior into patch!

cheers Mountain, yeah the interior will be swapped and the marea in the back ground will be having the engine, or a combination of the engines as the mareas lump went bang! looks like i may be able to make best of a bad situation, the boot will be going on Patch aswell

I've heard the plans for the Marea..

they SOUND good :D

ha ha they should SOUND good... only thing is if i keep it or sell it, not too sure yet, comes down to insurance and the fact im foing a hell of alot of work to Patch atm (top end rebuild, new clutch and box etc...) plus the leather geos straight into her... i just dont know :(
