PS don't fit a bleed valve to it, they went out of tuning fashion about 15years ago when folk got smart to how to tune a car!

not really, an electronic boost control is just a bleed valve with some wires plugged into it

Not when you get a fancy Greedy one with its own inbuilt pump that creats vacuum to keep waste gate shut and therefore controlling boost

that'd only be needed if your wastegate actuator was a bit tired, cos a 3 port boost control solenoid would do the job fine - atmopsheric pressure should do the job of ensuring it stays it closed

Nope waste gate starts to creep open failry early, it doesn't just open at preset level it starts before. Got a soliniod on me grale, but gains can be made from removing it and replacing it, the prefered weapon of choice at mo in integrale circles is the APEXi one.

Any way stop talking "3" point cause you bene working on some 3 cylinder hairdryer lol

go round corners like an R5 with some weight above it.

suspension is the same, no?

Put a roll cage or at least a few crossmembers inside that big box to make it a bit stiffer and I really don't see the problem.

my mates VW transporter 2.4 5pot LWB goes round corners pretty well. I thought it would tip over, but alas

I tried hard, it would't go over, just slides its arse about :yum:

suspension setup is very very simlar to the renault 5. the koni adjustables and lowering springs ive got are off a renault 5 gt turbo and the rear is the torsion bar system like a 5 and most older renault cars lol

so it should handle ok, prob not as well as a 5gtt, but wont be too shabby id have thought.

well, my front mount intercooler arrived today. will get pics up in a bit after its had a good buff up by buffty dunc lol

well, i'll carry on my thread hehe

my compomotive mo's turned up on thursday, in ok condition, and all have the same tyres on, but there 195/60/15s

so, they wont fit on the rear cos of the torsion bar! never mind, gonna fit a set of R888 toyos to em hehe

the weekend arrived and off i went to the scrapyard to get a starter motor to get the van up and running as im gonna use it for a bit with the 1.4 engine in and just fit all the GT Turbo parts to it and then fit the engine at a later date.

the inside before

inside after i took out the carpets, rubber mat and a tonne of crap/dirt that was in there!

i then started on the outside, destickering it, removed the rear window grills as they were bodged crappy things, and then gave it a wash

gave the front bumper a back to black and its made such a difference! looking really tidy now!

ive also got a 5 gt turbo engine coming this week sometime hehe

I think with a roof chop that would look fairly cool lol but obviously takes away from it being a van

My brother has what he calls his skip its an escort van that basically the whole family just use to transport crap about,

every year he buys a case of beer and me and a few of his mates spend a few hours welding up the holes in exchange for beer ready for the mot,

costs him 100 quid insureance and road fund to keep

Vans really are the cheepest form of transport

yup, the tyres are still really really good and good quality performance tyres too. theyre all the same, falken ZE-512 195/60/15 got loads of life left in them too and theyre £42.10 each from mytyres.co.uk so pretty pricey tyres! make me an offer for them as i will be fitting 195/50/15s
