yea it's brown, but for a FULL respray in stock colour, it only cost me £25, so i wasnt complaneing. and im actually hunting for a GT6 as the next project. however only being 19 it's hard enough to get insured on the 1500, yet alone a GT6. so im probably gonna wait a good few years. in which time i'm going to redo the interior, and then paint it metallic black, and get some nice american racing wheels. best thing is, i dont need to worry about rust, shes compleatly rust free, (after 3 months of intensive body work) sealed with hammermite, and waxoyled.

If you join the MG owners club you can get loads of new parts and refurbed parts at a good rate

needs a straight 6 an a gt bonnet

The straight six isn't that easy as the chassis is different to that on the GT6 the GT6 shares its chassis with the Triumph Vitesse and the rails are wider apart at the front

I had a GT6 many years ago like a roller skate to drive very skitish on the back end. I'll never forget changing the gearbox oil as bit of sycro ring, gear teeth and needle bearings came out with the oil

You could also put in the 2.5 PI straight six into them as well but they are not as easy to pick up these days as they were when I had mine.

thanks for resurretcing this year old thread to point out an error i realised last year
:D lol ... you're welcome mr AppleSEi ;-)

Nowt wrong with resurrecting old threads is there? Even posts many years old are still of interest to some of us, that's why they're best kept online and not archived... much to the annoyance of us online storage ppl!

So Rampage, did you enjoy the spitfire? Are you FIATing again yet? Or have you kept the spit, junked the triumph motor and fitted a Fiat TC as I did?!
