Meet Toshimichi

Introduction

Meet Toshimichi - Pajero Mini

Toshimichi - a 2002 Mitsubishi Pajero Mini
660cc 4-cyl Turbo, auto :slayer:

Built on the same platform as the Mitsubishi Minica to comply with Japans strict 'Kei' car regulations, those of you who play Gran Turismo will no doubt have seen the Keis featured heavily in the early stages, and will have probably driven an Alto Works, Kei Works or even a Minica.

To get an idea of size, check these pictures out:

Smooth as silk mate :D
Ride's comfy, not a spot of rust in sight, engine sounds great, occasionally makes a funny smell like hot plastic but I can't see anything untoward going on in the engine bay so hoping it's just because it's not been used properly for almost a year, it might just be excess oil burning off - hopefully!
Surprisingly spacious inside too, 4 decent sized seats, a fairly good boot, original jack and tools, split fold rear seats and with them both down the load space is completely flat.
Supposedly ridiculously economical - like 100 miles to £10! I'll not hold my breath though with all the hills around here ;)

bet you cant wait for it to snow......

I have to admit, I like the snow anyway but I am looking forward to it now :D

you and Carrie coming tomorrow?
...
We were hoping to come but our house roof decided to spring a pretty serious leak so we're going to have to miss it ... again :( I was really looking forward to showing off my new car too ... and giving Andy his axle stands back ... and getting my ramps back ;) Ah well, next time :(

I want to keep it standard, but keep thinking it'd look cool with some sort of bars on the front, and a roof rack with lights
Then again, it's only a little engine so I don't want to add tons of weight, lol
I did have a look at a Cappo but I don't like the rear lights, would've liked a Honda Beat or a Suzuki Kei Works - maybe next time ;)

Love it!!!!
I was thinking about getting a Kei for my first ride. But it turns out the re-sale value is shocking for what you pay to get it imported!!
Would love to get my hands on a Mazda AutoZam <3

Whats the 0-60 and top end like on such a small engine?
Cheers

Depends on the package it's in I guess, being 4WD I don't expect the 0-60 in the Paj to be very good, the speedo goes up to 120mph but whethe the engine will do that or not I don't know ;)
I do know a guy who has an AZ-1 and took it racing not long ago, he has a great picture of him with an Impreza chasing him down and it just makes the AZ-1 look tiny, lol.
