esse-esse is back (well sort of) in a stealth bomber

Introduction

Hello all

Some time ago I decided to get myself another motor for several reasons (of which for the purposes of this thread we will not devulge into)

Anyway in May I did just that and I bought a 2006 b6 TDI VW Passat saloon S

Now coming from an 80bhp stilo to that I was chuffed to say the least and the power was just enough for me. I loved it and we had fun up until the time I just got bored of her (don't know why but I did) she wasn't my stilo no fun just took everything in her stride and went when I wanted her to....I could feel the bond between man and machine lmao

So i thought lets see what's out there so went shopping again

Test drove a 2008 Seat Leon FR petrol and a diesel
Test drove a 2009 Vauxhall Insignia SRI
Test drove a titanium x mondeo
Test drove a 2008 ST2
Test drove a VW R32, Golf GT and GTI
Test drove an 2008 FN2 Type R

Then I saw her being parked as we drove back in with Type R callin me (Steven! Steven! Steven!)

So I asked for the keys drove her, fell in love and asked to buy her. 3 weeks later I am still a happy man and get turned every time I push the start button. Here she is a 2007 Civic Type S GT (In Night Hawk Black/With 18" Shadow Blades/Panoramic Roof/Front Fogs/Dual Zone Climate Control)

road tax isnt something to worry about its the insurance on type r's thats a complete joke for the power they actually produce!

my mate has a 1.8 civic like yours its pretty comfortable and nippy enough for most (y) theyd give an abarth a run! good luck with the black, i will never have another black car the cleaning done my head in!!

why didnt you get the type-r?

The average FN2 ownership is 6months - 12months. Living with it is another thing they are rock hard (I mean roack hard) yes I'm only 24 and I have to be sensible. Fuel consumption is just silly....The ins was nother thing and in terms of creature comforts I get more inc the panoramic roof and they will be more of market for mine after That's why

I'm guessing the road tax for type r put you off ;)

I prefer the old civic, but those are some sexy alloys on your type s :)

More like the insurance and thanks each to their own...The ol' civic to me was just a bit too boy racer like but hey....The wheels were one of the reasons why I bought it

She is 1.8 140BHP and yeah she does go...It will outrun an abarth because she can outrev an abarth:p:cool: I might have her remapped ther is one on Civinfo with 205BHP:eek:

I know what you mean about the cleaning... I washed her Saturday and today she is looking like a pig lmao (all the peeps at work say she is the cleanest thing there)

I'll try and get more pics up including some of my boss's R32:yum:

More comments please

lol yeah everyone used to say mine was polished and looked amazing even at its dirtiest but when you have a black car and youve cleaned clay bar'd it polished it extra shine protected it buff it all up nice, that image will stick in your head and then every bit of dust and dirt after annoys the hell out of you even though others cant see it, id only think it looked any good when id valeted it where as to everyone elses eye it looked good 24/7 lol youll have all this soon haha (y)

lol you wont outrun an abarth my modified grande punto was heavily modified and it beat the 1.8 civic but just lost to an abarth, the abarths gearing and such just gives it more of an edge than you and i realised lol
