Here is my old GP sporting, and my new car

Introduction

well i haven't been on this forum for quite a while, it's changed a bit since i was last on :S there aren't any technical/modding categories anymore?

Anyway i wanted to share with you my new car, and what i'm doing to it at the mo. I have the 2.0 tsi, i've only lowered it at mo, but am booking in miltek cat back, and re-map at AMD Essex or APR, so that will boost it to 260 bhp, and have also ordered carbonio cold air intake, so should be lookin at around 270 bhp. Do people still use angel tuning on here? just a little tip, but if you can, i would avoid using companies like this, i did have my car mapped with them for about a year and a half and didnt have any probs, but since joining vw tuning forums you start to realise the companies that are well known for good maps, and who have taken alot of time over making their maps. AMD technik, Revo and APR seem to be most used amongst the scirocco/golf tuners, as they have stage 1 maps, then 2 and 3 upgrades which can cost a fair amount. APR have a fully loaded map which has different settings, 1 for using 95RON fuel (bp ultimate), one for 98RON fuel, an anti theft map (you have to enter your password before the car will startup), and a valeting map (reduced power so valeters don't rag your engine if you have to leave your car with them for any period of time), If you can find a good company who can offer you a rolling road i would choose that option.
I hope i am have been of some help 2 u all!
Really like the looks of that car, very nice, scirocco's more than slightly out of my price range though :p

Anyway on the remap side of it, i think people do Red Dot Racing these days.

the 19's are niceeeeee:D
i want a scirocco:( can afford the car not the insurance lol

Sweet car! saw an awfull lot of these getting abuse at the nurburgring earlier on this year, they just seemed to love it. lol.
The REVO mapped ones were bloody quick too - guessing they were phase 2 or 3 tho.!

Custom Code also do alot of VAG tuning, was running that on my Ibiza Cupra with no complaints!

When you planning on getting the zorst?

Also, does lowering make much difference, what have you lowered it with? New spings or coilies?

Adjustable maps are ace, the custom code one you can plug a USB - OBD2 cable in, run the CC software (free) and you can 'program' certain aspects of the map your self... lower boost/fuel etc etc

Diagnostics are easier on a VAG too, vag-com software is awsome, you can log out boost pressures, temp's etc etc.. and scan for faults :)
