Mk2 RS2000 with full Ford X-Pack bodywork (fiberglass wings, bonnet, boot and nosecone), full rollcage tied into semi-tubular front end, stripped interior with Cobra Monaco seats, custom dash, plumbed Halon fire extinguishing system, 2.8 Capri rear axle & LSD, Grp4 front struts, drilled & grooved discs front and rear, and (the best bit) a 3.5 Rover V8 with flowed heads and a Holley 390cfm carb mounted to a Rover SDi 5spd 'box. Grin factor = 11 Fuel Economy = 0.5

I remember a mate of mine who put a 2.8 V6 capri engine in an Escort and this was a major job had to relocate loads of items from under engine bay. Took nearly 6 months of welding and figuiring out where everything would go before it was on the road.

Then it was a nightmare to drive being rear wheel drive. Roundabouts were fun in the wet, major drifting action

Eventually got written off by him driving it way to fast
