Im loving it tbf at the min, 2004 Clio 172 Cup with 43k on the clock and all service stamps apart from 24k.
Few stone chips & scratches here & there on it and the wheels are not in the best condition but they will be refurbed soon. A supersprint exhaust is also on the cards, but cant decided between a single round exit or a twin 182 style!

Love it dude, wanted and still do want one mate :yum:

Seems like natural progression from a 106GTi (and I will probably consider following suit when the GP goes and Rallye gets boring lol)

*Bought*

Nice Cup. Have you logged onto CS?

Sorry, my spelling isnt great!!! And yes, paid up on CS yesterday under the same username as on here :)

Looks like the body works in good condition? Any plans?

Global this year?

Bodywork is decent, only a few little dings here and there, it is a 5 year old car after all, but there are a number of scratches in really strange places that I cant think where they could have come from but they should polish out and there are a few nasty stone chips through to the metal.
At the moment the plans are to just tidy it up really, wheel refurb in either white or anthracite, respray the bonnet to sort the stone chips and just enjoy it as is for awhile!
Future plans do include a supersprint exhaust (when Kam Racing reintroduce the "race" range!), induction of some description (possibly GSR ;)) a remap and some coilovers

No Global this year, line up isnt really that great, plus Creamfields is cheaper this year

Do it mate, do it!!! Im so glad I did! So much more comfortable than the gti and yet still faster!!!
Its what Ishould have replaced the punto with in the 1st place!

What happened to the pug?

What didnt!!! lol
Started with the head gasket leaking oil, had it done twice and eventually solved the problem, then the seal on the oil filler cap gave up, not a huge problem but the oil filler cap is right above the alternator and the oil leaking from there went straight into the alternator causing that to fail, after that the rear drivers side hub bearings gave up so meant a new rear axle for it.
I decided to get rid when the front brakes started to bind and the sump was leaking oil so I traded it in against the clio, the garage that has my pug now must be fuming as they gave me 1k for it hehe :slayer:

Yeah Tom I know what you mean, I drove the Rallye for the first time today and it's the polar opposite to the GP (fun, frantic and built like a tin can :p )

Pictures look great, hope to see it in the flesh one day mate :yum:

Don't put a 182 exhaust on it

Well just a 182 manifold with the decat to match to a 172 system ;) I got some nice gains with my K-Tec

Looks nice and tidy that thought (y)

Ive heard that the 172 manifold is better...
Looking at either a Yozzasport or Miltek exhaust for it now and the wheels will be done in the next few weeks.

Nope 182 is deffo better reputedly that is where most of the extra ponies came from when going from the 172..

You on cliosport.net.. plenty of stuff on there amongst all the banter ;)
