I have just got myself this as a weekend toy to go with my Grande Punto Multijet Sporting. The previous owner hardly drove it so it needs a little tlc and a rolling road tune but it has been fun so far.
I haven't driven it that much and it needs a tune up but it certainly is not slow, it should have 275 bhp and 270 lb/ft of torque but I will find out what it really has when I get it on a rolling road.
TVRs claimed performance figures are 0-60 in 4.9 sec and 150 mph.
It is a Rover V8 but it was quite heavily modified by a company called NCK (which later became TVR power), It has been bored out to 4 liters from 3.5 liters, has a different cam, gas flowed heads etc so there is not much standard Rover V8 left.
Your handy being based in Perthshire for the only TVR service centre in Scotland (I am biased since it's owned by my cousin). I wish you lots of happy miles in it, enjoy.

Thanks
This is my 3rd TVR so I know them well, the 400se is a bit old for them, they mostly look after the more modern stuff but I may still require their services at some point.
