Never really been keen on French cars, due to my family having Renaults before and them being just a general pain breaking down but some of the modern ones are really reliable and look stylish.

Love your motor, don't remove the rear tints though I think it suits it. Will look great slammed to the ground on those coilovers. What other plans do you have for it apart from that?

I'm as yet undecided on the tints tbh - i'll decide before the FCS.

I'm not planning on excessive lowering, only 25mm on the rear and 40 - 45mm on the front, to improve the stance as much as the handling.

Future work (money dependant) is :

- Refurb the alloys in anthracite (this is next on the to-do list)
- RS Tuner remap to raise the rev limit from 7200 to 7850
- Samco Induction Hose, ITG panel filter, remove acoustic valve and improve the CAF
- Solid top mounts (either AST or KTR)
-Upgrade the gearbox / engine / exhaust mounts to poly powerflew variants
- Possibly a decat
- New HU

I think thats it, I was going to strip it, buckets / harnesses but i'm going for more of an OEM+ look tbh :)

Perfect height imo. Too low looks daft on RS Clios.

Cheers mate - happy with the stance but I may lower the front another 5mm or so just to get a slight nose down stance.

Agree with the height statement though - whats the point in buying an RS clio, reknowned for excellent cornering / handling abilities then 'slamming' them to the ground? Defies the point of them IMO.
 
Just a couple of small updates - Upgraded the HU to an Alpine 9887r, and ordered a K-tec silenced decat pipe today, will add some recent SLR photos tonight :)
 
Looking very tasty mate, not long picked one of these up myself! How are the coilies??? I'm looking to get some for it mine but unsure what to go for!

The KW Coilovers are very impressive, a definite improvment over stock suspension (which is already good).

I always thought these had different rear bumbers/skirts, with a twin exit exhaust... wrong era im in?

Wheels should look nice anthracite if you go ahead with it. I like how the grille and bit in the bumper compliment the wheels if the same, or similar in colour. Have a mate who has white alloys and white grilles, looks great!

twin exhausts are on the 182's mate, this is a 172 and a very tidy example!
 
The decats been fitted, i'm impressed with the tone change, and the increased torque lower down in the rev range, it seems to 'free' the engine up a bit more imo :)

Also had a new rear exhaust mount fitted, these are very prone to failing on the RS clios!

As already mentioned, the 182 is the successor to the 172, but the 172 cup is quicker then FF 172s and 182s ;)

I will go anthracite later in the year I hope.

I need to get the suspension on mine sorted, the rear feels very loose on a bumpy road but only when going left??? Trying to get on the V Maxx coilies at the last minute!!!

Vmaxx are very highly rated on ClioSport for the price tbh, much better then anything else sub £600!

Maybe one of your shocks is leaking? New insert time? Mines also very lively when accelerating hard, you have to get used to that, due to the lack of weight in the back lol - although it feels more 'planted' on the KWs.
 
VMaxx coilovers ordered last night for mine, just waiting for the last 2 people to pay so no need for new inserts!!!
It is rather worrying when you are driving along at 40mph, not even pushing it, on a long, wide left hand bend, go over a drain cover in the road and the back end gets loose!!! Something is wrong somewhere!
Also got the wheels back from being refurbed, will get some pics up on my thread to save me crashing yours once my car is clean!
 
Just another small update :

- Focal 130 CA1 Access components installed
- Tints removed.

Plan to lower it a touch more - will get some updated photos asap :)
