My old Orion was a 105 had zetec on the metal engine cover. At the time they were made I'm sure you only got the 105 or 130. The 115 had a plastic cover?

But Cossie imitations always look crap. Never fit round the arches properly cos a Escorts to short to wear a cossie kit unless it's a fake kit then it just looks cheap.

Mondeo's never had the Endura (OHV pushrod) engine- that was only 'good enough' for the Ka. EDIT: and there's no such thing as a 1.8 Endura- biggest they came in was a 1.3 AFAIK.

Ford had de-tuned versions of the 1.8 at that time to please insurers (the XR3i had either 105 or 130bhp).

No offence, but Cossie-reps never look good. Martin Hadland even bought a nasty, kitted-up replica of his record-breaking Reyland car (with donations from a Ford forum) just to wreck it for fun!

Endura-D (diesel) was fitted to mondeo ... boy was that slow!

Its odd, I really like it because of the spolier (I have a massive soft spot for the 1992 WRC Escort), but can't stand the colour or wheels.

it is the 105, sticker on engine says '1.8 litre 16v 105'

it cost £450, mot'd til jan, runs well.

maybe in some cases, though i suppose every manufacturer has crap engines in their line ups. just most fords i come across seem lower power outputs than most. though this is mainly 90's cars.

Also escort headlights look rank with a cosworth front.

There is no 1.8 Endura engine. Only a 1.8 Endura-DE which is diesel. Also, can't be a 115 as the 115 uses a plastic inlet manifold that weren't used on the mk5 Escorts.
