I have a Fiat Marea Weekend 1.9 110 SX JTD 2001, it had it's glow plugs changed at 31,000, it's now on 61,000. When I turn the ignition on the glow plug light goes out, the engine starts first time every time, but then the glow plug light comes on again and flashes for about 30 seconds, do the plugs need replacing or is there another fault.

Mine is exactly the same. No problem starting. Had a word with a mechanic who told me the glow plugs are not really needed these days but they are there to help with emisions when you start the car from cold. Maybe if the live in the depths of Canada then you may need them more.

I have had this for the past 6 months and it hasnt got any better or worse, no effect on the car starting or performance.

Mine does it too, doesn't seem to affect starting in any weather. Did think about replacing but took one look at the location of the plugs and thought again.
