Well, I'm gonna give the whole cambelt, water pump, pullys replacement a go at the weekend...

I'm a little concerned about disconnecting the battery as I dont have a red key (I know its not supposed to be an issue, but...) and i dont have the radio code...

After opinion on whether i should...

-Leave the battery on (I'm not disconnecting much of the wiring... i hope...)?
-try and reprogramme the radio, disconnect the battery and hope the ecu likes me when i re-connect it and use my blue key?


My first car was a citroen BX. i could unlock the door with any yale key, and start the car with anything... forks, spoons, cigarette lighters... ah the good old days...

my 147's have never asked me for the radio codes, if it does go tits up i have 2 here you are welcome to one if you need it.

look in your manual you can turn off the radio code bit

or stick the stereo's serial number in a code generator program (free to download).
