I have got a new clutch waiting to go into my 97 marea 1.6. I read the guide on 2.0 gearbox removal then had a look under mine. Looks mostly the same. Only thing is do I have to drop the subframe? I don't want to completely remove the gearbox from the car if i can change the clutch without doing so. I don't like the idea of subframe bolts potentially shearing and giving me real headaches if I don't really have to remove them. There is also quite a lot of them. Can anybody advise me on this and possibly save me a lot of hassle

gear box will come out with out dropping the sub frame..............
