Hi all

I just signed up today, yesterday out for a run in the country , my Fiat Marea TD100 just died, the engine cut out, first seemed to lack power climibing an incline seemed like it felt like fuel starvation and then died. After turining the ignition over, no joy, after a another minute or two turned the ignition over again and it started.... felt a little lumpy when accelerating but got home.
Had put some slick50 fuel system cleaner in the previous day when the same thing happened at a car park - engine just cut out but started again after a few mins.

Has anyine experienced this before??? Gotta drive down to Devon in a few days and im more than concerned if it happens on a country lane again

Thanks for you kind responses:bang:

Hi

No error lights, had the car full serviced a couple of days ago at a Peugeot/Citreon garage. He found the fuel filter was slightly loose and may have let in a small amoubnt of air, hence the cut-out.
I mentioned the symtoms and that of te possiblity ofMAF, MAP CPS failure, poor guy couldnt run a diag as the connector or something was different to the 16 pin standard one.
Although there was a small improvement, the flatspots & lack of power are still there. Can hear the turbo whistle in and out during acceleration so i guess thats all right.... Must check out this MAF in there is one one TD100 Weekend
