New to this forum, lots of useful stuff but would welcome some help.
1)I have had an intermittant problem in that occasionally after switching off the car the radio switches itself back on at some later hour- spooky. Unfortunately this flattens the battery overnight ! Possibly associated with damp weather but this may not be the cause. The radio (+ tape) is the original with lots of menu options. I tried removing the radio fuse thinking this might clear the radio 'memory' but no luck. The fuse position also controls the central locking so can't leave it out - such a good combination! If its a radio fault then may have to replace. I've seen the posts on removing which is a possible next option but would have been happy to keep the original.
2) another rare intermittant problem is that the engine will auto rev to my mind relatively high revs, (not whilst in gear!) but perhaps at park or at standstill in traffic. Its only happened a few times and doesen't appear to be associated with temperature - bit disconcerting - is this a normal engine cooling management?
