right guys, i'm getting a little annoyed i'm getting kaned round the corners.

so then, what do i need?

i just dont think springs are going to cut it, i need a full kit or fully adjustables but what can i use? nothing seems marea specific?

brakes? well i want brembos but do i need them or just better pads/discs?

what else can i do to improve handeling? i know i can add a strut brace but i feel i will need somthing serious, please help!

as for the power, i think thats just i'm being slowed down by a full tank mostly, might have to change my habbits a little.

Cheers,
Ryan(y)

dont you mean get THE 156 :p i already called shotgun on one, just waiting for it to become available :)

You mean you're waiting for the guy to forget to lock it? :p

Anyway you're not allowed to get rid until I've seen the Marea! New lower arms, ARB bushes and rear springs will bring the handling upto top performance without having to buy new shocks. If you do then get adjustables and the smallest change lowering springs available (30mm or less if you can find them)

A strut brace is to my understanding something serious. In all the cars I have seen (proper) strut braces, they did help a lot.

What about uprated anti roll bars

most stuff i want all has to be custom fabricated so its expensive, i can use a bravo/coop strut brace though, will get one and see what its like

springs should work nicely, esp with new shockks.

if you were to get say the eibach 30mm springs, along with a set of new shocks (kyb gas ones from buypartsbuy.com or .co.uk) you would seriously improve the handling, and also the ride wouldnt be too stiff. then id get a strut brace (would have to be bravo hgt one) and then go onto breaks, getting a set of better discs and pads will increase breaking performance. that lot, coupled with the extra road holding from the new alloys will tighten everything up a supprising amount. then get on and do wishbones and bushes etc and that will help yet again

power is all well and good, but if you dont have the underpinings to utilise it then what good is it?

you say your being beaten around corners, tbh its not too supprising considering the weight of the car, but get the above sorted and you will be able to go faster in, maintain higher speed and accelerate out sooner aswell (y)

I have Cobra springs on mine. A strut brace will help but be warned that insurance companies class them as racing accessories and it will hammer your premiums.
You are also likely to write the car off with a minor wing shunt as the strut brace transfers a lot of the force into the other wing and chassis.

Koni do top adjustable gas shocks for the marea, and Jamex and Spax do -40mm springs to. Also, polybush suspension especially anti roll bar TOP struct front and back will help greatly. And get some decent rubber on the wheels !! :p

I had a 156 V6, and it handled beautifully. I just found it unreliable. Always niggly things going wrong. Engine super sweet though.:)

Suggestion ,

You may try with Bravo/Brava lowered springs . I have those on mine but Marea is much more heavier on the back then Bravo. If you dont carry anything or not wearing 205/50R15 you should not have problems like me.
But cornerring, oh my sweet ........(y) (y) (y) :D

You could try only with front springs it will inproove handling for over 80% but if you are satysfied dont go anyfurther cause youll never want your old car back
