Technical Help with turbo

I have bought a Marea Weekend JTD105 60k

There is low power and a main dealer said turbo was not working.

I have had the turbo reconned and checked by a turbo specialist and sdai there was basically nothing wrong with it but from the condition inside he said either the cat has gone or the exhaust pipe was blocked. He said he wwsa 95% certain

Have put turbo back on car and left stds to exhaust manifold loose and still there is no turbo

when the zorst is fully bolted up do you get good pressure from the back eg if you put your hand over the tailpipe to you feel the pressure and how are you accertaining there is 'no turbo'?

Yes there is pressure from the exhaust. The performance is so bad that I assume the turbo is not working and when we took it off it was sooted up ....

did the turbine spin freely as i would expect(although i havn't owned a turbo in a few years) that the turbo should spin up if the compressions there,hows the engine running outwith the lack of power and do you have any warning lights on?
