Technical Brake lights remaining on

Hi All

I have a fiat marea weekend, When i turn the ignition on my breaklights come on and dont go off till i turn the engine off.

No work has been done on the car recently. Wires were down around the pedals but all are intact and connected to something and dont seem to be out of place.

Any help or even a general direction would be greatly appreciated.

The brake light switch may be stuck on. Take it off and check it out.

I get the problem of the little light bulb switch cmes on in the dash and the rear drivers bulb doesnt come on with lights.

It sometimes comes on sometimes doesnt.

As for youre problem it sounds like the brake switch as Polecat says

First thing to check is the bulb and its connection in the cluster, then check local wiring.

What happens when you press the brake pedal?? Lights stay on??

Sounds like switch to me though. maybe give the pedal a few sharpish jabs when on, see if its intermittant. Also lube the switch contacts with something like WD40.
