Hi all,

My Dad's 1.6 SX is having 'issues' with the cooling fan. It comes on even from cold for about 10 seconds and then goes off for about 30 seconds... then it comes on again and so on...

I've had a look at a couple of other threads and this seems to be different as the fan isn't on all the time.

Has anyone got any suggestions? BTW the car's a 2000 'W' with about 55,000 on the clock.

hi, i would think its either a short in the wiring somewhere or a fault in the switch. have you tried to disconnect the switch to see if that stops it? i would suspect the switch to be at fault first of all
