General Need advice

Hey there,

Just new to the whole Fiat scene so dont know much about them.

Been given a 99' Marea TD75 for my birthday that my folks have had from new. I know its underpowered and sounds like a tractor but its mint and only has 40k on the clock so seems a shame not to do somethin with it.

Have recently bought 16' TSW rims and have lowered it so looks not too bad. What i would like though is extra power if possible. Is there any kind of mod anyone knows about or am i wasting my time... Whats the difference between this and a TD100?

Amongst other things the 75 has some sort of recirc on the turbo, and the injectors and ECU are different.

Managed to source an ECU and injectors from a TD100. Can also have the turbo too if needed. It it just a case of bolting these on or is there any extra wiring needed??

I hope you're not buying these parts as I list them...

Looking at the Eper, the fuel pump, injectors, turbo, lines, inlet manifold, wiring loom, to name a few are different.

No, havent bought any parts yet, just rang a few local scrappys. Sounds like a bit of a nightmare mate. Might just keep her standard for a few months and change to a JTD.
Very tempted by a 2.4 but being in Northern Ireland, Marea's are quite thin on the ground and would have to travel possibly. Would a budget of about a grand find a clean one?

Not a 2.4JTD.. You need the thick end of £2k for a decent example. Only ones I've seen so far for under £3k were pretty rough.

A good compromise is the 1.9JTD which is a big improvement over the TD. Much quieter, powerful and economical than its indirect injection predecessor.

i agree the JTD is a great engine, i'm seriously considering a JTD alfa in the near future. only a remap away from some serious fun.

170 to 250bhp is a serious remap... Nowhere else will you get that sort of bhp/£
